    I hired Local Moving to move my furniture and household belongings from my storage space to a new apartment. It took 8 hours to do a very small move. Several thousand dollars of my furniture arrived damaged because it was not wrapped. I was guaranteed my furniture and art work would be wrapped. When I asked the the lead mover why it wasn't wrapped he said they didn't have the materials on the truck. When I spoke to **** in the office he asked ME why it hadn't been wrapped. I gave him ***'s answer. He said they always have the materials on the truck. Bottom line they are claiming the damage occurred before they picked up the furniture. I was in contact with the movers the entire time. I had also rearranged my storage and organized for the move 2 days before. Nothing was damaged. The 2 guys who helped me are witnesses. The sofa had some wrap on it before they moved it. The wrap clearly was placed to look as though the damage was under it. The other pieces were not wrapped at all. I watched one of the movers drop 2 floor lamps and pick up the glass that broke from one of them off of my living room floor. I was told by *** the manager and owner would make sure I was taken care of and not to worry. *** contacted me the next day via text apologizing etc. I was then contacted by *****. He bullied me on the phone and told me he would not take care of the damage his moving team caused and will pay .60 cents per pound for the damage. He was rude, obnoxious, and incredibly offensive. I said to him so you're going to f@#$ me. I want to be clear that is the only time I used bad language. I have written reviews and contacted my credit card company. Here I am filing this complaint. I have photos, witnesses, and ***'s text messages.

    Good afternoon *****. We apologize that your moving  was not satisfactory. After reviewing all of the specific details of your move it was decided to pay out the 60 cents per pound that we are legally obligated to pay. I have attached your signed contract that clearly states the insurance being 60 cents per pound. Additionally it is also stated in the confirmation email you confirmed as well. If you have any questions or need help with the process of the claim feel free to give us a call. ************ - Jacob

    I am rejecting this response because:
    As far as I'm concerned the contract is void due to negligence beyond what was spelled out in the contract. My furniture was to be wrapped. It was not. Period. It was dragged and inappropriately handled. Period.
