I received a parking violation while parked at Denver International Airport in July 2024. The violation was for an expired registration, based off of a photograph of my license plate. The registration was not verified. My registration was current. The 24 sticker either came off or was removed while my car was parked at the airport. I have attached a copy of the registration which was current at the time the violation was received. My appeal was declined. The original tiocket was for $100. It is now $260 for latye fees. This is unacceptable and not legal since my vehicle registration was current. Please resolve asap. I have contacted the Parking Magistrate and lef t avoicemail.

Please see the attachment, which was originally sent to the ******** ************************* In their reply, they stated that this complaint and request for refund would be better suited through the BBB. I have attempted to work on this for a full year and now 13 months...that is why this is a bit old. Further complicating my desire to have handled this in under a year is my mom's health and I am her only caregiver. In the past year, my mom has had a fractured tailbone, emergency GI surgery, rapid deterioration of her vision and hearing and a fall which affected her knee and lower back. Its been rough. This parking ticket was ultimately written out of spite and vindictiveness by a man who never even identified himself verbally or visually. He stated he was doing us a favor by giving us a warning and the Denver Parking Magistrate agreed to a refund (verbally)...but I never got one. So finally I am writing to you and I would love to resolve this as it has left a big impact on my mom as this "event" occurred on my moms 86th birthday and has left a bitter taste in her mouth ever since. We simply cannot afford this, having lost everything in the ******** Fire (both of us) and still have this debt sitting on a credit card generating massive interest. ******************* **************** **************

I received your note that my complaint was sent to the Denver Parking Violations Bureau on 10/11/2023. That is now over two weeks ago. What are the next steps your agency will take? Based on my personal experience, it is unlikely they will even respond. Please advise. ******************* ************
