    ****** was hired to start working on 8/14/23. We have a signed contractual agreement between us. He did complete the job we agreed on and he was paid in full. He promised to replant sod since he did not correctly install the sprinkler system and advised me to turn the water off for the sprinklers since he reported he would return to my property on 9/25/23. He said he would plant new sod and finish the river rock installation but then was not able to be reached by phone or text. I got an email the day before he promised to complete the job saying he wasnt able to complete it but would refund me $600. I never got the refund and the damage done is a lot more than $600. I paid him over $13000 for this project.

    We completed all agreed upon work. The sprinkler system was installed correctly and had adequate coverage. The Sprinkler system was included for free for in the work per the quote. We explained multiple times to the customer how the system worked, and it needed to be turned on at the house bib, from the house to the timer is the customers responsibility. From the timer to all the zones were on and the timer was set. The water at the house bib had got turned off. The customer didnt contact us and left the water off at the house bib for 2.5 days. After 2.5 days in 97 degree heat some of the sod had begun to die. I came back out and adjusted the sprinkler system heads and checked everything. We advised the customer that sod in that area of town during a heat wave would possibilly not take/survice even with perfect water conditions. The customer decided to leave the water on and see if the sod came back, after roughly a week some of the sod was coming back but some spots had died. The customer decided to shutout the water off if i were to replace the sod, I told her she could if she wanted and we could replace the sod with $600 credit towards the work. The extra river rock she wanted installed wasn't in the original scope of work. The customer was giving multiple discounts throughout the entire project. After the sod is installed their is no guarantee that it will take root under perfect conditions. We explained multiple times how that spicket at the house needed to be turned on and we are only responsible for the system at the valve at the timer and to the four zones.

    I am rejecting this response because: This is not true. ****** instructed me to not touch the sprinkler system for 2 weeks since he reportedly would come back to re-adjust the sprinkler system. He promised to come back on 9/25 to replant the sod and finish the riverrock job. I wouldn't have turned off the water (after he said he would replant the sod) if he didn't promise to replant the sod. I ended up spending $1,500 to get this fixed by another company. ****** NEVER sent me any money back for this (he never followed up about refunding me $600- which isn't really a fair refund since I sent him over $13,000 for this entire project).. He stopped responding to my texts and never returned my phone calls. He charged me $1,000 for a firepit that he did not install. I am not satisfied at all.
