1 starMy parents both in their 70s have lived here for 4 years and the quality has dropped dramatically, currently there are boxes of trash and appliances sitting in the walk way and is causing smells through the building. The garage has been left outside for months and my parents are concerned about the health implications. There are also bird nest in the walk way that have not been addressed. For the cost of living it is deeply sad the quality isnt close to compare. The most upsetting thing is the property does a good job of making the outside look like they take care of the units, and thats not the case.Review fromLu L

1 starI have lived here for three years and this past year has been the worst. *****, ********** have had the worst customer service and make living here uncomfortable. Every complaint I have submitted has gone without a response. When approaching the counter *********** demeanor is excruciatingly off putting. They have not sent me my lease renewal though she said she has and it has been a month since I should have received it. I am a person who has notifications for my professional email on always and have not received anything yet. The lack of communication and professionalism by these women have been on an exponential decline. I hope training is in the near future or replacement.Review fromJulia P

1 star2 years ago I moved in with my husband and daughter so she could walk across the street to school . There are Not enough parking spaces and they charge $50 for one and $30 for the uncovered 2nd one! They removed the jacuzzi and put in 2 bbqs where the jacuzzi use to be. Then COVID came, I lost my job and when it came back to working again I only got part time. They had to cut back everyones hours. During the bad times of COVID, we were allowed to pay 25% of rent although I paid more. Then when COVID rent help ended, Our lease was up, they increased 200 more a month. Then, we applied and were approved for over $11,000 for the pay we could not make. The apartments were paid all of it. But that wasnt enough there was more back pay due. As if increasing our rent wasnt enough, the financial lady sent me a letter saying we have to pay $1550 per month for the next 8 months and along with that we had to pay our increased rent which went up to $2400 a month Together! I told her I would try but have no idea how we can pay that. So she said pay it or be evicted. Well we were able to borrow and scrape up the whole amount for 2 months and then we were broke. I called and begged her to let me pay the rent and then $500 2 weeks after for the next 8 months. She said no! She was such a ********! She said there is no option, we have to pay that amount and every month. I also asked if we could please pay for it in 3 parts. She said no! So we were forced to pay nothing! my husband is disabled, they took my parking spots away.then theres me with my part time job. My daughter walked across the street to her high school it was so convenient! . So we accrued a lot of back rent because she wouldnt let us pay in increments. my son is right now in the hospital with 2 huge infections from who knows what bit him.. There are big cracks happening on the walls and we are being evicted in 2 days. There is so much more thats happened here but no more room to write it all!Review fromNatasha M

1 starLong review ahead. We currently pay for a 3-bedroom "premier" townhome unit (~$2,300/month not including additional costs). The cons:Parking costs $50 extra Raccoons in the vents Flea infestation because of the aforementioned raccoons in vents The unit was incredibly dirty when we first moved in The unit wasn't repainted and the walls are scuffed Despite being a no-smoking community, the entire Crestmeade portion of this complex smells like weed - no one enforces this Bugs I've never encountered before (an army of house centipedes)I have never had to call maintenance so many times at any other apartment complex The pro:Nice scenery - incidentally, something that is totally out of the control of management. We had raccoons in our vents. It took them months to get them removed, but have yet to remove the flea infestation that resulted from the raccoons. They claim that it is because of a moldy pile of clothes in my upstairs room, except I don't have a moldy pile of clothes and the upstairs is free of fleas. Only the living room and kitchen have fleas, incidentally, these are the areas under the vents where the raccoons lived for months. I have evacuated the apartment due to unlivable conditions and am living at a friend's place while still having to pay for what amounts to a sparkling t*** They claim they have sprayed the place multiple times, but how are these fleas still alive when I only stop by the apartment every three weeks to get things I need from a place that should be my home but is infested? Nothing lives in my apartment now, or does it? Are there still raccoons or are there rats? Rat traps have been placed outside of our apartment door by someone. So now rats are keeping the fleas alive maybe.Review fromBrittany K

1 starThis is for *********** Apartment in in ***********, **. A truly horrible experience I don't wish upon most people. It's a standard weeknight and you're coming home from work - you never know if your $50 parking spot is going to be blocked or stolen by some random car. You drive past 3 dumpsters overflowing with garbage on your way to your front door and look at the standing water outside your bedroom window that has been sitting there for 2 months. In **********. Where it hardly rains. You get charged utilities more than than market value each month and still get your water turned off every other month with very little notice for random plumbing repairs. You have to pay to have mail delivered to a stupid lockbox in the mail room and somehow still have your packages stolen.Yeah, there's a pool but it's not heated so only usable a few months a year. The months it's usable, it's all cloudy and gross by the time you get around swimming in it if it's not filled with leaves. Nobody from "management" is onsite or available for a phone call if you have issues or questions. This is life at Indian Oaks. Dreary. Depressing. Gross. Demoralizing.Life after Indian Oaks? Still a little depressing because they will steal your security deposit and thousands of dollars from you if you have to break your lease early. What a horrible place to live.Review fromLinda C

I can't even write this apartment that I live in ********* because in my lease it states no prohibit they prohibit ball games and they have hit my door over 25 times and I've only moved in the first part of August plus they play in the hallways they're very loud and they curse the kids are so out of hand here that I would never have anybody come to live here never now the maintenance is good but that's the only thing I got to say about this place because the children are terrible and I've been hit with the soccer ball six times already and I'm 71 years old and I moved here for it to be very peaceful so I can enjoy what left, I have left but evidently it's not going to happen because my lease does State prohibit any ball games and they have broke the police so I'm going to see what other steps I have to take now but please do not move hereAimco

1 starThe atmosphere in this apartment complex is absolutely terrible. From the moment we moved in, it was clear that everything was either broken or in need of repair. This was especially concerning for us because my daughter has asthma, and we were promised a smoke-free environment during the leasing sign-up. However, the staff completely disregarded this agreement and allowed tenants to smoke, which severely affected my daughter's health. We even obtained a letter from her doctor to support our case.To make matters worse, when our one-year lease was up and we decided to leave, they suddenly claimed that we needed to provide a 60-day notice, despite our lease being already completed. As if that wasn't enough, they also sent a bogus balance to collections, claiming that I owed money that I didn't. This is completely unacceptable!I am determined to take action against this deceitful behavior. I will report them, and I demand that the false balance be removed immediately. The leasing office's treatment of people is appalling; it's clear that this whole situation is nothing but a scam.Review fromVenise B

Slumlords. They have tried on multiple occasions to intimidate me into silence when I complain about the poor way in which our community is managed. I was recently served a cease & desist letter at 9:45pm by a police officer who could not provide me badge information when requested, and this was done literal days before I gave birth. They increase rents every year but never improve anything around the community. They allow tenants to be harassed and victimized daily, and dont do anything about it. A young woman was sexually assaulted at our back gate and they didnt even put up a camera to try and dissuade these things from happening again. I could list out all of the civil rights violations these people commit daily, but Ill stick to keeping a personal log of them for future use.Aimco

1 starPlease reconsider ************. Possibly the worst way to handle any situation from leasing to moving in and now to a residents eviction that has now lead to further consequences for the remainder of the residents. The pile of belongings left behind was removed and left at our walkway obstructing our path to our house. Left an unbelievable stench and welcomed all sorts of bugs into our home. Let alone the sounds of rodents making a home in the stuff at night. When we asked for the items to be removed staff said they scheduled it but never confirmed that anything would or had been cleaned or attempted to be cleaned inside the apartment for over a week. Mind you there is literal f**** all over the apartment from an abandoned dog. Also management then said that they had no concern for any biohazard because it wasnt in our apartment just right outside our door! Also when I asked for a call back from the apartment for an update- they failed to call back until I called twice (it went straight to voicemail and said the office was closed two hours before close) and then again from a *67 number which was answered right away. Completely unacceptable considering the amount we pay. This is not the first eviction that we have seen and suffered through and the apartment complex continues to suffer from poor grounds maintenance and just horrible really horrible leasing customer service.
