This account was ALWAYS free! And, they give you NO CHOICE, but just threaten to remove your photos of years and years from the past. Notice that it says REACTIVATE! (Even though you never "De-activated!!) What a heartless, money-making, scamming company.

  Scummy site! Used it once and then forgot I even had an account. Changed from a free service to paid without any warning, no notices whatsoever. Lost whatever photos I had stored there when I closed my account since they were holding them hostage and REFUSED to let me back them up unless I gave them money! Also they constantly harassed me for money by sending multiple "your account is deactivated" emails. Won't be surprised if they wind up getting sued for this.

  I have used them forever for free and suddenly they arent free anymore snd holding my pictures hostage!! People should be grandfathered in that had it for free. A classic action suit is needed!

  Just wanted to let others know that Photobucket is using bad UX. I attempted to cancel my subscription through their website using the Safari browser on my Mac and had to click through 4 separate pages telling me why I needed to keep my subscription running with me clicking on "Cancel my subscription" each time.On the very last page, I clicked on "Cancel my subscription" and noticed that the text then changed to "Processing" and then shortly after changed to "FAILED". This raised a red flag in my mind. I immediately changed browsers to Chrome and ran into the same issue. By checking the Developer Tools, I noticed that the button was linked to a fake page so I tried changing the *** from .../page3 to .../page4 and voila! It worked! I was able to click on "Cancel my subscription" and was successfully able to cancel. This kind of user experience is very shady as they're hoping that the user won't go through the process of contacting customer support or finding out how to get past the barrier they've put up.

  I found a charge to my credit card for $86.28. I havent use my Photobucket account in years, I have ignored all of their messages about losing my photos etc. because I have no interest in collecting any of the photos that have been stored on my account for ***************************************************************************************** a yearly charge. Im gonna have to call them and tell them to stick it up their a** tomorrow they are not gonna get away with charging me for anything because I did not order anything from them, do not want anything from the and did not authorize any charges. Why the h*** would they keep on telling me that theyre holding my photos hostage and then charge me $86.28 and for what? Its got to be a fraud charge.

  If I could give ZERO stars, I would. If you enjoy being constantly harassed to log in or lose your photos, constant emails about how your space is full (when it is not) and to upgrade and other HARASSING emails of that nature, then this is the site for you! ALL of my photos have now been removed and my account is "queued for deletion". I highly do NOT recommend Photobucket if you are inclined to KEEP your photos, as they will hold them for ****** or delete them.

  I recently went to Photobucket to take care of my overlimit account, which I hadn't used for some time. I logged in to delete unneeded photos and maybe check out their paid options. Instead of receiving the option to remove photos to get within my current plan (which was explicitly stated as an option in the emails I received!), I was met with a huge red banner that asked me to either buy an paid subscription or delete my account. There was not option to click out of it to access my photos and edit the file storage to get within my plan, which again, WAS STATED TO BE A VALID OPTION IN THEIR EMAILS.So I selected the option to delete my account. This is annoying for me because some of my old website posts will have broken photos, but for someone for whom this was their primary digital photo storage, it would be devastating!
