I have gotten a sandwich for lunch from them on April 30th. I called within an hour of picking up the sandwich letting them know that my sandwich had a hair in it and that it also was too acidic and I couldnt eat it. It had too many condiment juices in it and dripping in pickle juice, pepperoni and mustard. Way too much. I had to throw it away. I called and was told the info will be relayed to the manager and that I will be refunded. It is now May 16th and I called them 8 times since then asking about my refund. Firstly the manager is never available to speak with. I tried calling in the morning and later in the day. I dont know how a business is run when the manager is never there and always leaves for the day. Or so Ive been told. He finally managed to call me back once within the span of this time to ask me for my personal information and said that he would issue the refund fully. Again $10 was issued back incorrectly. I called 4 times since then letting them know that I was refunded incorrectly and for the manager to call me back. Nothing again. My issues is this: I was nice and patient throughout the 2.5 weeks asking and calling them. Why does it take 2.5 weeks to refund a simple sandwich and why did I have to call them 12 times wasting my time and energy like this. This is not standard business practice and and at this point it is malicious and intentional. Its also unacceptable. Like I said I have not once been rude and I dont understand why this is the way they choose to carry out their business practices. To add, when I was picking up the sandwich there was a boom box up at the front of the counter that was blaring music so loudly that it made everyone uncomfortable who was there ordering/picking up including myself. I couldnt even get through my order fast enough and had to repeat myself 3 times just so I can get out of there and wait outside for my sandwich. It felt like you were in a nightclub and it was 1 in the afternoon. All in all I am never coming back there again. This business needs a new manager. Someone who knows how to run one.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/21/2024

Customer entered business and CHOSE which sandwich they wanted.  Again, they ordered the sandwich off the menu, which has the ingredients listed.  Customer ordered our most acidic sandwich and then complains that it was too acidic.  Please learn to read a menu correctly.  I felt confident that a $10 refund was fair considering its not the businesses fault when a customer doesnt comprehend what they are ordering.

We play our music and we are not a chain establishment.  We wont apologize for that and its laughable that the customer would throw her opinion about that in her complaint.  Go to Subway or a chain place if thats whats bothering you.  Adding that there was an hair in the sandwich seams to strengthen an already weak attempt to make up for the inability to understand what was being ordered.  Seems oddly convenient for the customer in this situation.

Again, $10 is a fair refund in this situation and we consider the matter closed.  If customer wants to continue to spend their time and energy on $5.48, that is their prerogative.  Have a blessed day!

I am rejecting this response because:
Again the response from this establishment proves my point as to how NOT to run a business. Clearly professionalism is not a concept known or understood by said manager. Its not about the $5.48. Its about giving me the roundabout for 2 weeks, never being available to speak with and most importantly-yes ingredients are listed, however it does not mean that the sandwich was/cannot be made without a fault. I had to throw it away so yes I asked for my money back. When the condiments and the juices outweigh the ration of the entire sandwich then yes it is too acidic. And there really was a hair in my sandwich. I have no need to lie. I could have stuck with one of the above complaints but was truthful as there were multiple things wrong with the overall order and experience. I am very sorry also that you shame the customer who comes to your establishment to pay for goods and services for their opinion. However I am done with this conversation and this was my first and last time ordering from you. I will take my business elsewhere where they actually appreciate the patronage.
      Sincerely,
