    Towed my car there on January 17th for a power steering pump and power steering hose. They put a reman pump on and it whines like crazy I have leaks that I never had before. They claim it's the rack in pinion but It never had this leak before they touched my car. The owner ***** goes on to tell me my car is a pile of s*** and to buy a new one. I'm on disability and can jot afford a car payment. So now I'm out $410 plus $80 to tow it. Now I have to have it towed again to another shop to fix the problems that they tried to but created more problems. I'm seeking my money back plus the tow money.

    Our reply to the customer problem is as follows:

    Customer brought vehicle in for steering pump and when we installed the steering pump we also installed the steering pump hose.  They only make remanufactured steering pumps for the year of his car.  ************ noticed there were other issues with the vehicle including the rack an pinion but the customer did not want other work done.  We gave the customer a discount on his service because it took longer to complete.  After he picked up the vehicle he started to complain about leaking etc.  He became irrate and i asked him to bring it back so we could determine what was wrong but he did not want to bring it back and wanted a full refund.  We could not give him a refund without him returning the parts we installed.  As it turns out he went somewhere else and they replaced the part and swapped the part we installed which may have been defective and part of the problem.  But we were not given the opportunity to find out.  Because I was out of the country it was difficult to communicate with my mechanic and the customer.  Invariably in this business there are problems and I try to fix issues with customers when they arise.

    I am rejecting this response because: They had my car for over 2 weeks and couldn't fix it right.  They continued to tell the problem was my rack in pinion.   I only excepted the car because ***** said it I didn't he would start charging me a daily fee.  They had plenty of chances to fix my car correctly.  He also told me my wifes car was a pile of s*** , to go buy her a new one. By time I got home with the car the power steering pump was whining and leaking fluid everywhere not to mention when I got on the highway the hubcap flew off.  I had it towed to another shop the shop found that the pump they put on was bad and the hose was bad they also found several other things that *****'s mechanics didn't reattach or bolt back down. I have paperwork and pictures showing everything.  I asked ***** for a full refund and he said no I had to pay the second shop to do everything that I paid ***** to do, ***** only wants to give me $150 back that's not even fair.  I am asking for a full refund and the  2nd tow bill which comes to $490. The part ***** is referring to had to be returned for a core to the original store it was purchased from that is also documented on my receipt from the new shop.  I communicated with ***** just fine when he was out of the country.  ***** told me they were done working on my car that I had to accept it there was never no test drive by me or them the miles were the same for when it was dropped off there till when I picked it up.
