    Do not use this company MACS Adventure. They have a very strict cancellation policy: once you give them a deposit, there is no refund. If you cancel, they give you the option of applying the deposit (less a $150 PER PERSON fee) to a future trip, or just forfeiting the refund. We deposited $668 for a couple, and then 3 days later we realized we could not do this trip and wrote to cancel. **** refused a refund of our deposit, and offered to apply $66 toward a future trip. So customer-unfriendly. They had not lost any money in those three days. They wrote me that the reason they are refusing a refund is "We have to maintain very strict cancellation terms since we have had so many cancellations recently. We cannot make any exceptions."No wonder.Do not use this company

    The prices for listed tours appear to be higher at the North ******** (**) website of Macs Adventures (MA) when compared with the ************** (**) website. In one comparison I found that the price was $800 higher for one version of their ******************* in *******. Not only that, but when you attempt to visit ****** website (if living in North America), your browser will redirect you to the ** site where the prices are higher. Of course I took into account the exchange rate. I sent an email to MA asking if it was possible to book at ****** site in order to take advantage of the lower prices, but have yet to receive a reply. I also asked if the ** prices included features that I was not aware of after reading the descriptions. In 2017 I used MA for a self-guided trip to ****************, and I did not encounter this. I believe customers should be aware that they likely will pay a higher price if they book their tour through the ** version of Macs Adventures.

    When I recently booked a trip with Macs Adventure (**) to hike ************ in ***** I found that the prices listed at the ** site and the ** site were near identical, so I booked with the ** site. Like any other cost-conscious customer, I will continue to comparison shop to obtain the best value. Honestly, the challenges of maintaining an office in America are irrelevant to me. But thanks for the reply.
