I was brought to this establishment on the day after Thanksgiving. I was led to believe that it was a therapeutic atmosphere where my needs would be met based on my insurance being billed. And I was told it would be a safe environment free from things such as theft, bullying, violence and drug use. All of which I experienced in my time as a resident there. Even upon moving on to the second phase of their program titled "phase two" where I was "graduated" to live in a new place on Waco Dr. ** *********. Even upon that .....what I was led to believe was a ****************.... Where instead I was met with unbelievable discrimination and bullying from men I was told to believe we're going to be support folks. Based on my whole experience with Hazelbrook I would like to suggest an entire investigation is launched due to the fragile nature of addicted people in the stage of recovery within which they're dealing. It can be a very dangerous route for them to take treating addicts in these early days of recovery the way they are. Not to mention the 3 instances of outright using I experienced while there. All three of which were fully known by staff to be taking place. I was told monetary arrangements could be made to literally continue living there while actively using were available. As long as one "had the money to afford the look the other way" necessary to make those arrangements. Also I am Jewish and was put to endure anti semetic slures and was literally cut off from religious items being given to me. As well I was not allowed to attend my faiths services ......even though rides and enthusiasm were made available to attend ********* services. One of the biggest mistakes I made was to say out loud I could not go to their church service based on my being Jewish. Upon explaining that to a fellow resident I was made to feel actually afraid for my life and well- being. I feel my family, my insurance, and my self has been taken advantage by a scam.
