      Cottman **********: I had my jeep transmission rebuilt 7000 miles ago. (3/24/23) On the way to ********* **. the transmission failed. Towed it to the ********** *********** found that a valve had failed. It was then in insinuated that the valve failed due to my negligence. I have basically blatantly been called a liar! I will now be providing video proof to legal council to show Cottman transmission is a shameful company to do business with. If your looking for a business with integrity dont let them fool you, this is NOT GOOD!They refuse to honor the remainder of the 24mo or 24,000ml *************** will have you regretting you used their services. These are the facts! Sincerely J

      ***** brought his 2010 ************* back to our shop on 03/24/2024 after reporting that the transmission had failed while driving up I-70 through a very heavy snow storm.  

      We opened up the transmission and found that every single clutch, steel plates, and torque converter had been burnt and no clutch material was left on the friction plates.  This type of damage only occurs when a transmission has either been abused or stuck in the snow and customer tried to get out.  It took us four hours to flush his transmission coolers because of the amount of metal and friction materials.  The transmission was destroyed.

      In reference to our details of limited warranty on the back of the sale invoice, Line 4 describes:  "Any unauthorized service, damaged caused by mud, snow, accident, abuse or water, or damaged caused by any component not part of the transmission or torque converter shall void the warranty."  Secondly, Line 6 describes our total liability which reads as: "The total liability under this warranty is limited to the cost to the original repair. This center reserves the right to refund to you the original repair price in lieu of warranty service to the vehicle."

      We chose to repair ************************* transmission under the warranty instead of blaming him of abuse to the transmission which is referenced on Line 4 of the limited warranty. *****'s transmission has been fully repaired, however, there is no more warranty in reference to Line 6 of the limited warranty.

      I am super disappointed in Cottman location in ***********, ** I was told by the ** that they was no problem with my car, they could not find any problem with my car. And that the mechanic drove my car around ******,** and it did't stop on him???Strange because the car stop on me to Cottman Ttransmission! I strongly feel let down and that they did not look at my car, as a customer. It would have been nice to know that they could had did a full diagnosis text on my car, I had no problem paying for it. I was not in form of this to the next day after it took me 4 long hours to drove my car home! My car stop on me over and over. But I remind you I was told no problem with my car! This whole experience has made me very sick and disgusted in 'COTTMAN TRANSMISSION'The main factor in all this. I was not treated well as a customer! I want all the people to see that I had to deal with a very bad horrible ordeal stranded in a rainstorm because Cottman did not want to work on my car!

      I took my truck in for a transmission repair last November. I thought I had finally found a honest mechanic company who would repair my truck. I have stage 4 cancer and on disability so I fall in the low income range. Long story short I had my truck in this shop and the ********** shop between November and April and my transmission light is still coming on, Had to refinance my truck for this repair and its still jacked up. The manager at the Broadway location took $100.00 that I paid for spark plug replacement and never replaced them. I actually ran into the receptionist from the original shop I took it to and she told me that the person who worked on my truck had messed up so bad he had already been fired. All I expected was my truck fixed right the first time like their ad reads. Instead I have a truck which I can hardly use after paying these people $3000.00 for a repair that never worked. Thank You for stealing my money.... ******

      As of this morning/12/1/2022, our General Manager, ********************* reached out to ******************, and he has agreed to bring his vehicle back to us the week of December 21st for ************** to see what is still going on. We will resolve this issue with our customer.Thank you
