    I was transferred to Denver Springs which is h*** on Earth. I had food poisoning and the nurses refused to let me see a doctor. The psychiatrist/doctor I had was named *********************. This man held me in the hospital for 8 days. My husband and therapist were calling everyday to get me out and my therapist was also trying to contact the facility. The staff refused to let me know when my husband and therapist called and the in-home therapists never contacted my therapist in ***********. I went in on December 1st 2021 and told nurses, doctors and therapist that I do not belong here as I am not a danger to myself or anyone else. I did everything I could and more yet after the 72hr hold I believed Id be leaving. The first doctor said Id most likely leave the following Wednesday and I insisted Id be leaving earlier since I dont belong here. Dr ********************* was more concerned over my insurance than what had happened. Without my knowledge ********************* placed me on a short term hold. I was mortified. My husband had already been looking at flights that weekend for me to return home. Not one member of staff told me nor my husband or therapist in ct. Saturday evening I got food poisoning. I did not tell anyone as I just wanted to leave the awful facility. I am vegetarian and was often given meat. I lost 15lbs in 8 days. I was vomiting and had diarrhoea till there was nothing left. I had to tell the staff as I could not attend the groups. The staff refused me to see a doctor and said food poisoning is not contagious. I had a room mate and was worried she would contract it. On Monday she had upset stomach and no staff member would write down that I had food poisoning. My husband ordered food from **** and got it sent to Denver springs, at this point Id ate a bowl of pasta which gave me food poisoning, bread rolls and water for the past 5 days. No one gave me an answer to why I was there.

    A thorough investigation was completed when **************** submitted a grievance with her concerns. Those concerns identified in ******************** complaint with the BBB are identical to those reported to Denver Springs in February of 2022. Attached are the results of Denver Springs investigation. These results were also sent to **************** via certified mail on February 14th 2022 and February 22nd 2022.
