Ting practices theft. I activated a sim card. **** suspended it with in 24 hours claiming their was a security problem. I abandoned Ting and told them to cancel my account. The customer service said it would cancel automatically. Three months later, they want payment for three months of service. Said I would need to pay all three months of service to cancel my account. I say they cannot charge me for a sim they suspended since day one. Their customer service agent could not refer me to a manager or address my issue of charging for a suspended line. It's theft at best, and a scam of a company at worst.

Ting is going down hill-FAST!I was an original customer back in 2016 I think. As time moves on, they get worse with both mobile and customer service.I called with a MMS message issue. My MMS's were not going through. The customer Service reps did somehting on the back end 2 separate times which led to my VM being inaccessible and my MMS still not operating. I called back 2 days later to figure out how to access my VM and to fix this lingering MMS issue. This led to 4 different reps, 4 dropped calls, and now my phone wont only text, it wont call or access anything because it doesnt have a network. Whats the fix you might wonder? It must be my SIM card right? Are you kidding me? My phone features for the most part-worked, that is before calling customer service who decided to mess with things on the backend rendering my phone a very expensive paper weight. When I explained that their critical thinking timeline should not land on SIM card being the panacea, they double down. I think thats becuase these reps dont actually know what they are doing. TIng is really going down hill. I will being shopping around after this horrid experience after being with them like 7ish years. Im over it.

I've been with Ting *********** service for 9 years now. **************** was always amazing from the get-go. You call and someone just picks up the phone and helps. I've never experienced that before! I just left a 1 star review for **** and was thinking about how awful customer service is with every company, and I thought to myself "well, except for Ting" and then I realized I've never left a good BBB review. So here it is. I've always been incredibly happy with Ting - as with any cell service sometimes you dont get the best service in some areas. At least they're no where near as bad as ****.

I went with this cell phone provider called Ting that is associated with T-mobile and it was a nightmare. Yesterday I went to a ******* store trying to get away from Ting. A ******* specialist had to spend an hour and a half wrangling with the Ting rep to get me away from Ting and back with my old cell phone provider. The ******* rep looked on line and found this was not an isolated incident with the *************** NEVER AGAIN. I was being ******************* and dollar foolish going with a cell phone provider like Ting!!!

Cancelled trial due to no service in area. Agent confirmed cancellation and said there would be no bill. They have billed for 2 months and are not responding to requests for assistance . Filed with Attorney General.January 16 2023 (04:49:25) ***************, the account is canceled. I also put a credit on the account so you won't get billed.

We are having an awful experience with Ting. We chose their phone service as it was reported as a good option on consumer reports . We have the phone but cannot activate it as there is no one taking customer services calls and the website is down. We paid $200 for the phone and now will have to try to send it back, hopefully getting a refund before then buying another and choose a different provider.

Quote from Tings website: Ting Mobile offers coverage from coast-to-coast Our Experience: Ting Mobile may offer coverage from coast to coast, but each SIM card given out DOES NOT. The website clearly stated that ***********, ** has coverage. I was in *********** and had NO phone service for four days. My daughter also changed to Ting. Because of poor reception, she called Ting and was told her SIM card was for T-Mobile and they did not service her area. WHY DID THEY SEND HER A T-MOBILE SIM CARD IF THEY KNEW T-MOBILE DID NOT SERVICE HER AREA.Quote from Tings website: . . .providers rely on confusion to turn a profit. We dont. We promote clarity and give people the info they need to make informed decisions. Our Experience: When my daughter talked with **** she was told that she could have asked for a SIM card from another carrier. When we signed up with Ting neither she nor I were told we had a choice in carriers. Neither do I see anywhere on their website that we could have a choice. NOW IF WE WERE TO CHOOSE TO GET A DIFFERENT SIM CARD FROM TING, WE WOULD NEED TO CHANGE OUR PHONE NUMBER OR PORT OUR NUMBER TO TWO OTHER CARRIERS THEN BACK TO TING. My daughter immediately switched to another company. I am considering doing the same.We feel that the Ting website is very deceptive and does not present a true picture of their service nor give needed information to prospective customers.

If you are considering Ting Mobile, run the other way. They were great a few years ago but now that they are part of the big conglomerates and are offering internet and tv they are horrible. They recently implemented 2-step verification just to log into your account to pay your cell service bill. You can click a button to disable this under settings but are forced to get another code the next time you login. You are required to use the 2-step and can't turn it off. You are required to use an authentication app like the one from ****** and enter a code within a certain time frame to get in. It was very difficult hunting for the cellular customer service number. Apparently they don't want you to call. They don't have the ability to block calls and can't help you with robocalls. Why is there a button to disable 2-step that doesn't work? The bottom line is that I am finding another service. I use my laptop for bill pay and don't appreciate being required to use my phone along with my laptop to login to my Ting account. I am not forced to use 2-step verification to login to my Xfinity account.

A negative star is not applicable, but that is what the rating would be if I could. I purchased a Ting similar card for my grandson and four days later it was suspended for security issues that even they couldn't find or understand. I will have to open and order another card and see if that will work. I even talked to a supervisor and he had no clue as to what that issue meant.
