    Business Response

Hello, this is Dr. ***** This patient came into my office having prepaid for services including neurotoxin injections and filler injections without having a consultation with me first. I had requested a virtual consultation with her because she lives far from ******* Instead she made an in-person consultation for treatment after purchasing her nonsurgical treatment services via our App. When I saw her in consultation, she wanted both neurotoxin injections for wrinkle relaxing and filler in her left cheek for an acquired deformity and cheek asymmetry. At the consultation, she mentioned that her past ***** injections were not lasting as long as they normally should, so I recommended using ******* instead as it typically last longer than ****** Patients that experience reduced effectiveness from neurotoxin injections typically develop significant antibodies to the toxin protein in ****** She signed her consents for treatment, we discussed the areas that she wanted treated, and I performed her ******* injections. I used a conservative injection amount as it is easier to add more later if needed. The filler product that she pre-purchased was the wrong one for her concerns and it was more expensive than what she needed. After our discussion regarding her left cheek deformity, I treated her with the appropriate filler. She did well and finalized payment for treatment. She earned a credit for the filler.

Over the course of the next several weeks, she contacted my office stating that the ******* was not working completely and that she needed a touchup. She came to my office and used some of her credit to purchase more ******** She came more than one time, using her credit to purchase more ******** I even gave her a free trial of ***** to make sure that what she told me was the truth. In the end, she was not satisfied. I let her know that a full reinjection with ***** was not possible until the ******* wore off which would have been 4 months after her December 2024 first injection session. She was not satisfied with my medical judgement and went to a medspa to get treated. I refunded the last of her credit in the form of a check that we confirmed she cashed. She is not wanting a refund for all her services.

There are no guarantees with either filler or neurotoxin injections. Patients that are hypermetabolic or have developed significant antibodies roll the dice when it comes to the longevity of each treatment. She never complained about her filler injections as she was happy with how they looked so I will not extend a refund for the filler I injected. She was noncompliant with my medical recommendations regarding waiting until the Dyport was completely out of her system before she re-try ****** As such, I have discharged her from my practice and asked her to find an injector closer to her home who she can work with. She has no active medical issues that require continued management by me or my staff. She is not eligible for a refund for products already injected.
