      Hired Capital Roofing 9/2019 to replace our roof and repair chimney flashing through a claim filed with insurance including a three year warranty through ************* noticed interior water damage near chimney, but didn't know it might be due to the roof. We had significant personal medical issues and unable to investigate or repair at that time. 10/2023 hired a contractor to help us with with dry wall in our basement and showed him the interior damage by our chimney. He suggested we contact the roofing company as it was likely due to the chimney flashing. While we realize the damage was discovered in early 2023 that damage likely occurred during the three year window. Below is the timeline of our attempts to address the issue with Capital Roofing:11/16: We contacted Capital, no response.11/27: Contacted Capital, manager called back and was looking into our contract. He would have someone out by the end of week and they would fix the issue if the chimney flashing was not done correctly. 11/29: Called manager to inquire about a scheduled visit, no response.12/4: Another follow-up call was made to the manager, no return call. 12/6, 12/7, 12/8: Multiple attempts were made to contact Capital. No returned calls.12/8: Frustrated by the lack of communication, we warned the manager that we would escalate to BBB if we did not receive a prompt response. Manager promised to send a roof repair team the next day, weather permitting.12/9: Snow on roof, but we assumed no one would be out.12/11: Sent pictures of the flashing, hoping that would help. Manager informed us that the repair guy had been in an accident, and he might be back by Wednesday. 12/14,12/15, 12/18: Additional attempts to the manager, no responses were received.Capital was paid to replace the flashing per the contract. We would like Capital to replace the flashing so we dont have additional interior water damage. We did get three estimates from other companies and the repair ranges from $1.6-$3K.

      I am sorry for the delay on this.  You are still in our repair que. This year has been extremely busy and our guys are working from sun up to well past dark.  I will escalate this and have someone there tomorrow or Friday.

      We bought a house last year, Capital Roofing and Restoration replaced the roof a year or two prior to our purchase. Fast forward to nowwe found out that when they replaced our roof, they forgot to cut in the ventilation strips. This caused our attics condensation level to increase with all the snow weve had, leaked through multiple light fixtures and started some black mold growth. Not only have these things created a financial burden on our family, but when we called the company 4 times while also texting and calling the Project Manager, ******, we have not received any call back. The answering service says, Ill have someone get back to you which has NEVER happened. What an unethical and embarrassing way to run a business. I understand mistakes happen, but to just NOT RESPOND or accept responsibility for that mistake is horrible.

      I am terribly sorry for the wait. *** has talked to your husband a couple times. I do understand there has been some delay, but  *** is currently dealing with a fractured back and our crews are very busy this time of year in the mountains dealing with emergency ice dams. I also understand an appt for wed was made with your husband. I would be very surprised if we "Forgot" to cut in the venting. We primarily use continuous ridge venting which most people, including home inspectors, are not familiar with and at a glance would think it is not cut in. But without a doubt we will inspect what is going and find the best resolution for the problem. If you have further issues please feel free to contact me directly at ***********************************************************************************;
