    In November 2024 I rented a storage unit from the above business. The rent was $17/month. On 1/16/25 they notified me that they would increase the rent to $26/month. This is more than a 50% increase in less than two months and so I consider this to be a bait and switch

    The rate was not locked in contractually but clearly a 50% increase in less than two months is not due to inflation or market conditions.  It was a bait and switch,  they never intended to offer that rate for more than 2 months

    After leasing a storage space at iStorage for over 2 years. I was wrongfully accused of living in my storage unit and was evicted. My eviction letter was posted on my unit door, i never received a call or was notified in person of the 7 days i had to remove my belongings. Since i did NOT live there i found said letter the 6th day and ALL of my belongings were trashed as stated on the letter, the next day. I cannot replace many of the belongings and equipment needed to conduct my business and would like the maximum insurance payout of $2,000 which i paid monthly for. The business will not return my phone calls nor will they allow me to be on the premises. I do not understand what prompted this or who they have mistaken me for but it has been a nightmare to loose all the things i stored in that unit and i was never given a chance to defend or explain myself.

    The date of this transaction occurred back on April 21,2023, this was the day I signed the lease to rent a storage unit here. The amount of money I paid the business is about $3,924 and this was over the 11 months of being there. The business committed to make me believe that my items were are safe and secure at all times. This is there slogan on the website At iStorage, we believe that you should feel confident that your items are safe and secure at all times. That's why we make sure our premises are fully fenced and gated so that only staff and customers can access their units. We have full-time video monitor, and our facilities are kept well-lit, so you can feel safe no matter what time you come and visit your storage unit in *********, **.. Our helpful and courteous staff and managers are always on hand to provide advice on what unit will best meet your needs.. After a few months being there this ended up being a complete lie as there was always an issue with the staff not being helpful what so ever nor anyone ever being onsite. Also, there was always an issue with the gate never working and the full-tme video monitor that doesnt exist through out the property. They only have cameras in the office and at the gate only. There have been multiple break ins and they dont inform you at all as they expect you to be consistent on checking in with your unit every once in a while. The nature of my dispute is to refund my money as I have had multiple items in my unit stolen and they refuse to take any fault for it. When I reported it to the acting manager she was very unprofessional and disgustingly rude towards to me about this. She stated you are crazy, this is not my problem, and that ***** multiple times while screaming at me and refused to help me nor give me any information on how to contact the property manager. Upon execution of the rental unit agreement, I was informed that It was mandatory to have insurance on the unit and that I could only use their insurance and not my own. Their insurance was called SBOATI, and they werent able to help me as they only cover burglary. I have taken a bunch of pictures and reported it to the police of the items that were stolen. The insurance company has rejected my claim and told me I need to take it as a loss and move on. I am at a complete loss and feel that this ruling is absolutely unfair as I have many of my items stolen from a place that I felt was safe and secure and no one is able to help me. This business is a complete scam and untrust worthy and this is why I believe this place needs to be shut down. From the multiple broke ins, to the rudeness of staff, to no security, to the unprofessionalism and the lies, I can't believe this is a running business and feel bad for anyone who rents from here.
