    On February 25th 2024 my son (age 16) contacted AAA as he was locked out of a car around 6 pm in *********,** ( temps in the 20s). Hours later AAA still had not contacted my son. I then reached out to AAA and still nothing so at 10 pm I went and helped my son get into the car ( we had to pry the door frame open enough to use a coat hanger- unfortunately we damaged paint on door, to grab door lock to open from inside). I ended up calling AAA to cancel service ticket.I then emailed AAA about my experience and they took two weeks to reply with literally no reply.They didn't apologize or state they would look into why this happened. I've been a member since 1996 and will most likely cancel my membership.Be very careful of AAA if you except service outside convenient service area (********* is 20 minutes from ******* so maybe too inconvenient for their trucks?)My son and I did learn somethings though, always have a spare key, always dress for weather, and we can get into a car without breaking a window.
