    I purchased this topper/tent combo in October, I drove from Mn to Colorado to have it installed on October 28th of 2022. After driving all that way we were already off to a bad start when I couldn’t get ahold of him until 30 minutes after my appointment time. The topper didn’t quite fit right to begin with as it would rub on the tailgate making it tough to open and close. He also didn’t have any of the correct mounting hardware which thankfully I had some in my truck. I gave him the chance to make it right as he was going to throw in some free mounting brackets for my awning and sent new topper clamps to my house via Amazon. After only a week, I already had issues with powder coat peeling which I feel is not okay especially after spending $6,500 on a product. I then contacted him about getting it warrantied since he does have a “2 year warranty”. He told me he would contact his supplier and get back to me, his resolution was to send me a paint pen to bandaid the issue but not fix the actual problem. The next issue is these awning brackets he was going to send never happened, I have the text messages asking weekly for an update on them with excuses every time. After a month I finally told him to forget about it. Nothing has been resolved and I last texted him December 1st, telling him if I do not hear back from him I will proceed accordingly. The powder coating has gotten worse in all areas to this day, I now am dealing with water intrusion where rivets are and weatherstripping that is leaking. I do have pictures of everything I will attach including my receipt. I am looking for a partial refund for the hassle this has caused.

    Twin Dogs Campers makes truck-bed campers. I paid them 1/2 the full price of a camper + previous $500 deposit on June 28 2022 with a promised delivery date of late September 2022. After that date passed with no contact at all from the company, I called and emailed several times. When I made contact with Zach W*******, the owner, he gave me a new delivery date of mid-November, citing shipping problems. Again, that date passed without contact, I called him, and he promised an early December delivery. That date passed. He replied by text on Dec 20, giving the beginning of January 2023 as a new delivery. At that point, I asked for a full refund.

    Since my request for a refund on Dec 20, I have sent several follow up emails and texts with no response. There are threads on various Facebook camping groups from other customers talking about the exact same experience with Zach W******* and Twin Dogs Campers not delivering on orders or eventually delivering product of lesser quality than originally promised.

    In May of 2022 I noted a ** advertisement for a company producing truck campers in Fort Collins CO. I went to the company's website and spoke with the owner, Zach W*******, and a sales person about ordering a camper for my truck. I placed a $500 deposit using *****, and signed a contract on 31 MAY 2022 to have the camper built and picked up by 1 Sep 2022. I paid Zach W******* $3957.50 via ***** at the time the contract was signed. In July of 2022, Mr W******* asked that I pay the balance for the camper because he was ordering parts for the final assembly. On July 18 I paid Mr W******* the remainder of the cost of the camper, $3552.50 via *****. The camper was not ready by the 1st of September, despite assurances from Mr W******* that it would be. After multiple attempts to get a status on the build of my camper, it eventually became clear to me that the camper had never been started or completed. Finally, I requested a refund from Mr W******* on 22 Nov 2022, and he agreed to provide me with a refund and acknowledged that he had not met the terms of the contract. However, he did not send the refund. I sent multiple texts and calls to him inquiring about the refund with no answer. He finally answered his phone on 14 Dec 2022, and said he would send the refund within the week. He did not send the refund, and has stopped answering or returning phone calls, and he no longer responds to my text messages. I sent a total of $8010.00 to Zach W******* and his company over three payments, and did not receive the camper as it was never built. I have not been able to recover any money via ***** because the time limit to file a dispute had expired by the time I looked into this option. I know of at least 20 other individuals that have also been affected by this particular business scam. Some of these individuals have been able to recoup their losses through their credit card companies or through ****** or *****.
