December 30 at 4 PM I took my 2023 Toyota RAV4 sky blue color to the breeze through car wash at 182 S. Taft Ave., loveland, CO 80537 and they had provided a free car wash since it was their new location and when I got home I had signed up for a membership being $25 a month Excited that it was close to where I live. After I had signed up for membership and went out to my car I noticed the damage of the deep, scratch on my passenger side front bumper on the paint that a sky, silver and color and also on my bumper that is black as if the spray wash on the right side had rubbed up against it towards the bottom.
I would have called them last night, but they were closed by the time I noticed and I have tried calling them today December 31 and realized they were closed today so I have sent them an email with my complaint and uploaded a picture of the damage to my car. I have been nowhere else that would have caused this damage and I know that they have cameras and just want my damage rectified as soon as possible by a trusted source, such as an auto body place.

I’ve already drove to their location yesterday and spoke to the assistant manager. Justin who is very helpful and helped me submit a report and they took pictures of my car and he said he would get back to me within a couple of weeks after they have reviewed the cameras and the report since it has to go through corporate I believe. I sent an email to you, but it must’ve not got to you. Please update this report that I’ve already talked to them

I signed up for a monthly pass with Breeze Thru car wash at one of their locations in Greeley (west 10th st). I have never had a problem with an automatic car wash before. After I took my car through the wash twice, I noticed horizontal scratches down both sides of my fenders and on one door. I filled out an incident report and pictures of my car were taken. I asked Breeze Thru to see if they could buff out the scratches. At first they said they would buff it out, and then the manager stopped taking my phone calls. I took my car to 2 collisions centers. I was given an estimate for over $1500 to repair the scratches. Please follow through and buff out the scratches or reimburse me for damages to my vehicle.

On Thursday 4/7/23 at 3pm I went into the wash with a tiny crack in the windshield. I have taken it thru the same wash without an issue many times, but the temperature was cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon and that created the conditions for a thermal expansion because they were using cold wash water instead of warm.
The following email was sent to the company today after I received a courtesy call from the manager that they would not be doing anything about my issue.

Thanks for contacting me over the weekend and taking no responsibility for the cracked windshield is a bummer. I remember the car wash was closed under a certain temperature to protect your equipment. To protect my equipment and that of your consumers should also be top of mind. Since I pay monthly, you still got paid even though I couldn't wash. It follows for me then, that I should be able to expect to be paying for more than just a wash, but for integrity and knowledge of your industry. I've taken the time to solve the physics of this and what you need to realize is that to mitigate this issue in the future - all you need to do is keep the temperature differences between the ground, windshield, and ambient to within 35 degrees F of each other. I will be reporting this issue to the Better Business Bureau and the local Chamber of Commerce. Hopefully, it follows for your company to set a standard and put in place a policy to increase the temperature of the wash water during fluctuating temperatures, This protects the interests of your customers - to leave the wash feeling that they received the value they pay for with their hard earned cash.

Hello and thank you for bring this to our attention.

When a vehicle comes into our car wash with preexisting damages, like to the windshield, the car wash is not designed to operate in a way to limit further damage to the windshield. A chip or crack in a windshield is a weak point in the windshield that can cause further damage due to thermal-expansion and thermal contraction. The expansion and contraction can be caused by internal vehicle temperature, direct heating and cooling on the windshield from the interior of the vehicle, external ambient temperature changes, and direct sunlight. We use the water that is provided to the location by the city water supply which this time of year is cold. We are not responsible for the condition of the customers windshield and regulating temperature of our water to address the range of conditions that a customer’s windshield can be in before entering the car wash. Heated water can cause further damage to a cold windshield as cold water can cause further damage to a hot windshield. A damaged windshield that happens due to normal driving conditions on the roadway is the responsibility of the customer and bringing a damaged windshield into the car wash may result in further damage to the vehicle which is not the responsibility of the car wash.
