Went in for an eye exam to get a prescription to purchase eye glasses. I was very clear that I wanted to purchases eye glasses online. Sorry...you have lovely eye glasses, but they are out of my price range. I told the eye technician and the optometrist I would be purchasing my eye glasses online. (It's more than likely they frowned upon my request.) When I got ready to purchase my eyeglasses online I saw that my Rx was incomplete, which meant I had to drive back to MVES to ask for my full and completed Rx. When I got to MVES office I was greeted by the same woman who'd checked me in the first time, but this time she acted like she'd never interacted with me and directed me to a woman who sells glasses in the eye glasses department. I never did business in the eye glass department and I said as much. The woman that came out to talk to me knew her job so well that anything I said to her didn’t penetrate because she was on automatic pilot spewing out only what she wanted to hear herself saying, not listening to anything, anything I had to say; especially the fact that I never even walked over to the eyeglass department to look at glasses. Since no one wanted to listen I left and called my credit card company to dispute the charge. MVES didn't want to give me my full RX? I explained to my cc company why I was disputing the charge and in November 22 the dispute was found in my favor and my account credited. I received notification from Wellsfargo (my cc company) that “Your dispute is now closed.” The FULL amount was credited back to me. Both my credit card company and Mountain View Eye Specialist came to the agreement which resulted in my money being returned to me- very important. Unfortunately, and this is the reason for my complaint, I am continuing to receive bills with late fees from Mountain View Eye Specialist. Since the dispute was found in my favor I don't understand why I continue receiving bills from MVES NOW they've sent this to a DEBT COLLECTOR! Not ok

A full prescription for your glasses was given to you with an explanation that any measurements for glasses are the requirement of the dispenser and not the doctors office. Many measurements for eyeglasses are dependent on the frame chosen. All major insurance companies, the FTC and the State of Colorado do not require a PD as part of a glasses prescription. You have every right to go anywhere you choose, but demanding your money back for your exam for a measurement we are not required to perform is not reasonable. We sent all the paperwork to your credit card company including copies of all requirements for a prescription from ***, ******, ******** and the FTC and the State.
