The hotel smelled of a strong lemony cleaning product. It smelled so bad I didnt want to eat the food there. We purchased our own food nearby. The coffee maker was in our bathroom 2 feet away from a toilet. This is unhygienic and possibly not up to health code inspection so we purchased our own coffee. There was black mold on the ceiling. We found a large spider on the wall. I got up in the morning to notify the hotel staff of our concerns and to get a refund. There wasnt anyone at the front desk. There was a sign on the front desk that read they were required to close the front desk. If there was an emergency call 911. I called and the girl on the phone said she was letting her manager know to help us get a refund. The girl was upset with me calling her and told me I woke her up. I dont want any other families to be fooled by the lovely pictures on their website that market their hotel as being a clean and safe place to stay.No one has called us yet and I called again August 13th, the day we checked out, after our flight home and the hotel staff said there was no manager available. The staff told me the manager, wouldnt be available to speak with about our hotel stay until Tuesday, August 15th. No one should have to spend time and additional money to get breakfast and coffee when it is listed as a free amenity. The safety concerns are the biggest risk about staying at this hotel. Its not safe to have to deal with health hazards and a lack of staff working at the front desk. I have stayed in hotels where police officers and security people are guarding the hotel in the front entryway. The hotel website says 24 hour front desk on the amenities. This is false advertising. In my opinion, the Comfort Inn North in *********************** is not a safe place to stay until security measures are put into place and the hotel is cleaned up. Its August 19th. No refund has been given to us.

They’ll let you in, but not until late afternoon. TV viewing is available, but restricted to pay-per-view and porn. Breakfast, of a sort, is laid out, but is unpalatable and unpotable. They pick up the garbage, but you still run into trash in the lobby.
