  Workers were observed urinating directly on our property, a significant breach of conduct, especially with children nearby.The patio installation itself was flawed: pavers were laid in an odd pattern and prematurely sealed. Cuts around our new pergola posts were irregular and unsightly. A major deviation from the design was the step leading from the concrete area to the patio. Instead of the agreed-upon ******* step, cheap, uneven retaining wall blocks with caps were used, creating an unappealing look and a definite trip hazard due to irregular heights. Even the replacement cap for this step was installed unlevel. Additionally, polymeric sand was left messy across the pavers.Within four weeks, the patio showed severe settling, resulting in 1-2 inches of standing water in a cornera clear drainage failure. The ********* "solution" was to drill a hole and scrape out sand, chipping pavers in the process. Another professional confirmed this was an inadequate, short-term fix, attributing the issue to improper base preparation (lack of concrete sand). This "solution" will lead to more significant damage over time due to Colorado's freeze-thaw cycles.Fearing further botched repairs, we canceled a subsequent appointment with the contractor. We are now left with permanent, substandard features and face the financial burden of hiring a new contractor to correct the patio's leveling and drainage, fix a broken sprinkler zone, and fill an open trench. We feel thoroughly taken advantage of, having paid a substantial amount for work that requires costly remediation.
