DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM FOR SEPTIC DESIGN! As an Electrical Engineer who has designed 20+ projects in ******************************************** 13 states for the past 10 years with over 200 completed government projects; I can say with confidence this is the worst design firm I have ever worked with on any project for any scope, let alone a very simple gravity-fed ***** field replacement. There was no direct communication with the Engineer unless I was able to catch him via phone (he does not appear to have an email address), and I was forced to pay for the design twice as I was unable to provide any input into the design process at any point. The Engineer was reluctant to accept a non-symmetric system layout due to site limitations (electric line, existing ***** field), even though their firm performed the initial site survey.Inspections were equally as difficult, with no way to know when an observation tech was going to be onsite (hopefully today was the phase I heard a lot). I emailed the firm 4 times with as-built information and the only way they would respond to my emails was with a phone call asking if they had received my emails. Final approval of the system took over a week after as-builts were sent to them. I NEVER received an email response unless I called them first. Also, their design fee does not include any inspection costs or a final sign-off letter you have to pay for that separately, even though it is required by the ****************** They also dont provide a quote for these items up-front you get to figure out the cost throughout the process. I assume this is another way to drag the process out longer to make it less efficient for installers and clients to further reinforce the firms complete lack of proactive communication or customer service.I know there are a limited number of firms in the ****** area that perform septic design, but save yourself the headache and go with anyone else.
