I contacted FH Flooring about installing hardwood floors throughout the main areas of my home in November, 2023. I signed a contract with them to remove carpet, carpet pad and tile, and then to install new flooring, including 26 stairs, and to have maple base board milled, stained to match the wood flooring and installed throughout my entire house. After numerous delays, including the delivery of the wrong color of stain and the warehouse "losing" my wood order, installation started in early May of 2024. Per the contract, I paid the first half of the invoice on November 24, 2023 and the second half of the invoice during installation on May 6, 2024. Payment included 512 LF of stain grade baseboard, installation of 26 stair risers and 22 stair treads and the removal of existing base boards and installation of new base boards. It did not include the actual staining of the base board to match the new wood flooring as that was a separate fee to be paid to the professional painter they used for the job. The installers ran out of the correctly stained wood for the top three stairs to my basement on or around May 6, 2024, The baseboards were not available for installation during the rest of the flooring install, but were to arrive within a few days from the painter. The installers returned to install base board a few days later. It was not even close to the correct color. I refused to accept it, although they had already started to install it in a few areas of my home. I was told that the painter would need to sand it down and "re stain" it. Installers arrived again a few weeks later, this time with base board that, again, was not even close to the correct stain color. Additionally, the baseboards were deeply scratched as though someone had sanded against the grain. I again refused to accept it. Now, ten months later, my stairs are still not complete, there is no base board in my home, and the installation in doorways throughout my house is incomplete.

In August of 2022 FH Flooring installed vinyl flooring in our basement. In spring of 2024, less than two years after the work was completed, we noticed floor boards not sticking well and coming loose. We first contacted **** at FH Flooring about this issue on March 5, 2024.**** came to our home and Inspected the floor on 4/30/2024. On 5/13/2024 we called **** to follow up. **** told us he would talk to the manufacturer of the flooring (Anvil) to see if the issue we have (flooring under rolling office chairs is warping and coming unglued) is covered by the providers warranty. **** says he will get back to us in by the end of the week. 6/3/2024 - After not hearing anything from ****, we clalled **** to follow up. **** says ***** told him it was not covered by warranty. **** agrees with us on a compromise: **** pays for the flooring, and we pay for the labor cost to replace the flooring. **** says he would see if they had any boxes of the flooring and FH flooring would replace the damaged areas of flooring. **** says it might take longer if they have to order the flooring. On June 3, 2024 - **** texted us to say I did need to order the boxes of flooring. They did not have them here in town. We can plan on installation Wednesday next week (implying 6/12/2024)Monday June 10, 2024 - We text **** to say: Thanks ****, well see you on Wednesday (6/12/2024). Do you have an idea of what time you will be here? No response. Wednesday 6/12/2024: We called **** to leave a message asking if they still plan on coming. 8:49 am. No response. We called a second time at 11:32 am. No response. 7/10/2024 - We called to leave a message. No response 7/15/2024 - We called to leave a message. No response. 7/23/2024: We texted ****: ****, we would still like to have you come and replace the damaged floor boards. Can you please let me know when you can do this. No response.Initially we were very happy with their work but have been extremely disappointed by this company.

FH Flooring installed our floor in December 2021. Initially, my wife and myself were extremely happy with this $9,280.20 investment in our home. However, within six months a series of quarter-inch wide gaps appeared at the end of several floorboards. These gaps appear in a prominent location and are impossible to ignore. They do no not look like normal material shrinkage (referenced in the warranty document), and neither do they match the known direction our property has shifted in the past. To us, this appears to be an installation issue. We reached out to FH Flooring about these gaps and, although it took months to get a response, **** from FH Flooring eventually visited in late October 2022. After taking a look, he promised an answer within two weeks, but since then we have heard nothing. We have left phone messages and sent emails but still: nothing. It is now September 2023.FH Flooring offer a limited two-year warranty on installation issues. We wonder if the lack of response is an attempt to delay until we can no longer file a claim.FH Floorings website states: we strive to provide our clients with the best customer services by a friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive staff. But to us, they have been extremely NON responsive. The reviews page on their website appears designed to mislead. Where ****** reviews give them a 4.4 star rating their website suggests they only have 5.0 star ratings. We are still hoping that FH Flooring will provide a reasonable resolution to this issue, but at the moment they are ignoring us. Not responding to a customer does not feel like the action of a trustworthy business. If they fail to respond to this complaint by Septembers end we will have to take legal action.
