We contacted Marcolina Tax & Accounting on March-2022 expecting to have our taxes done and we were assured they will be done before the April 18 deadline. Come that day, our taxes were not done and we needed to filled an extension. We were not told about any repercussion on filing an extension and when we wanted to get an appointment during April we were postponed multiplie times until 1 1/2 months later (around June 25th). Now, we just received a letter from the ********** of ******** informing us that we owned penalties and interest on our tax return because we did not paid on time. We contacted Marcolina asking her why she never informed us that filing an extension has consequences and she told me literally to pay It and hung up the phone. DO NOT CONTACT HER. AWFUL SERVICE.

Marcolina Tax and Accounting considers time to be of the essence for all of our clients. We work to provide timely services especially during tax season. Mr. * came in to our office near the end of tax season with some of the information needed to file his return. The information was incomplete however and after 4 attempts to get the information, there was no alternative but to file an extension. Mr. * was informed of this at the time. Mr. * was informed that his return was ready to be filed on May 25th but he did not make an appointment to come in until June 22nd. We feel we did our due diligence in working with Mr. * and believe his review did not present all of the circumstances surrounding the events.
