    Monday, November 11, 2025 American Windows began work to provide my home with an egress window for the basement. The promise of three days turned into a month. They have lived up to all verbally negotiated terms to clean up their work, except one. They have not yet removed the soil taken from the hole they dug for the window. The representative I have been dealing with, ***, has repeatedly promised to finish and never followed through. Now, he simply does not respond.

    Hired them Sept. 16, 2021 to replace all windows in my house. Was told because of COVID the windows wouldn't arrive until Jan. 2022. They came to install on 1/27/2022 and not until then was I informed that they only had some of the windows & would have to come back later to install the 2-bathroom windows, as they were on back order & were to arrive 2/3/2022 and they would install 2/4/2022. The living room window they installed was the wrong window, it was frosted glass & you could not see out. They told me they would get the correct one ordered right away & replace. After months of waiting, they decided to switch out the glass instead. They came to install the replacement glass in March & realized it was the wrong size so in putting the frosted glass back they cracked & just put tape to hold the bro*** glass in. Months later they replaced with clear glass & have had to come back repeated times to fix & adjust. The window still leaks cold air & moisture & ice form at the bottom of the window. I called them on 1/31/2022 about the kitchen window they installed on 1/27/2022 to let them know air & moisture was coming in at the bottom of that window. There is nowhere near enough room on here to describe every missed appointment & the numerous different story I have been told. *** doesn't answer my texts, messages or calls & when he does, he always blames someone else or acts like it's the first time he has heard about the problem. I am done, it has been over a year & just want the new windows I have paid for installed & installed correctly. I thought I had done my research on this company prior to hiring them but I am seeing 5-star reviews by people who work for him. Also, I now see this company is "Delinquent" with the Colorado Secretary of State. I am hoping this can get resolved soon.

    We contacted *** from American Windows and Doors. We discussed replacement of Two doors, one front and one back. *** told us the doors would be ordered and work to start in two weeks. After three weeks and no word from ***, we contacted his office requesting to speak to *** or have him call us to find out what was going on. We got no response from *** and the office had no information. After another week of no communication from ***, we called again asking for *** to call and no response. After 42 days without any communication we called **** office to cancel the job. After quite some time on the phone trying to cancel this work we hung up. After a short time *** called and wanted us to let him complete the job stating that one of the doors would be here on the 22nd but the other door wouldn't be delivered until sometime late October. We decided to cancel the work because of the delayed time and lack of communication from **** We said we wanted to cancel the job, but *** said there were no cancellations and no refunds. We would like American Windows and Doors to refund the 50% paid up front which was $1736.70 for misrepresentation and promises not kept. *** has misrepresented this company with work he knew he could not do in the time frame he gave us. If we had known that the lead times were that far out we would have not had *** and his company do this work. My wife and I are on social security and I am a disabled Viet Nam veteran with this company taking advantage of seniors. All we want is the $ 1736.70 back so we can have a reputable company do the work. If *** had been honest up from we would have allowed him to continue. After reading reviews of his failed communications he is not trustworthy

    As our secretary told ***** **** ****** wife) two weeks ago the one door would be in today the other next month. I never told them the doors would be here in two weeks as I have never received any custom product from a manufacturer in that short of time. The doors were ordered in time and due to their custom sizes we cannot provide a refund. Right to cancel an order is 3 days after purchase as outlined in the agreement and per Colorado law. It is unfortunate that a simple misunderstanding of project start time has come to this. I never intended to deceive ***** and fully intend to install the products as agreed upon. We as a company can not utilize these  doors and are at a loss unless we install them and are paid the remaining balance per our agreement. I understand money is tight but I think you will find that cheapest route to take here is to fulfill your agreement as paying someone else, me and a lawyer will be illogical financially.

    I am rejecting this response because *** the rep for American Window and Door, in his haste with his verbal promises failed to get a signed agreement or contract descibing the terms and conditions of the sale including a description of the goods or services stated in a readable, clear unambiguous language. He has used deceptive sales practices with at risk seniors to generate business. He does not have any signed paperwork binding us to to this sale or project. He ordered goods  by using unsigned quotes from a different named company, (******** **** ****** *** ***** *** has not been truthful with his statements to the BBB. I would not recommend their services to anyone. THERE IS NO SIGNED AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN WINDOW and DOOR. The agreement he states from is an unsigned company agreement for no cancelations and no refunds,which he failed to read or get a signature on.
