      My son Cory was seen at Middle Park Health in June and Aug 2021. He had a blance after they finally billed my insurance. I have been making $100.00 every month. Bill I have with due date 8.11.22 with balance of $384.30. Get a bill 9.19.2022, bill is now $10774.22 with no explaination. They added a charge of $9098.63 for DOS 6.7.21 to my bill 9.8.2022. I have all the statements and this DOS was never on them....so where did this come from, is it really Corys charge, how come you just put this on my bill, you didnt bill insurance. So I called and no one can tell me why or how. But they will send me a prinout - UGH. TImely Filing is a HUGH issue here! Need to get this off my account or bill my insurance and write off what they do not cover which will probably be nothing since it is past a year!

      I am writing in response to the below email that has been forwarded to me.  I am also attaching the email that I sent to you on 10/13/2022 explaining the second notice and that I would be responding within 7 days of the email sent. I apologize for the delay as there is a lot of information on this account and I wanted to make sure I fully understood what took place before answering.

       

      This issue with the date of service in question, is that after receiving the insurance, and due to an incorrect payer ID entered in by a staff member, the account systemically dropped the account to patient balance.  In October, MPH was instructed to bill ******* by mother of patient, and we billed ******* as instructed.  We did follow up with ******* and was told at that time that only the mother of the patient could receive any claim payment details.  It was then discovered that we had billed Cigna incorrectly and have since billed Cigna to correct the problem.  As of October 12, 2022, the claim has been received and accepted for processing.  This will not guarantee payment, as I am confident, they will deny for timely filing.

       

      Unfortunately, there were mistakes made by Middle Park Health beginning with the incorrect payer ID being entered by registration.  Once notified of the error, we attempted to correct.  By doing so, the charges were sent to the patient, of which they should not have been.

       

      After the careful and complete review of the complaint, Middle Park Health will be adjusting the $9,098.63 +632.29 and guarantor will no longer be responsible for those amounts.   Total balance as of today is $943.31.
