I'm not sure of the location for the American automobile association ( AAA), however, I called member services. I called on 10/1/24 to change my membership from plus to classic and I told the representative do not charge my account until the renewal date which is 10/21/24. My account was charged that night and I called and filed a complaint against that representative. I was told it would take to 3 to 5 business days. Then, it was a longer time frame. When I called on 10/7/24, a supervisor informed me he could put a request in for a refund. Being that my account is currently paid up to date due to the representative charging my account before my actual renewal date, I called and requested a tow service today however I was informed by a supervisor due to the ongoing investigation I can't get a service request. I informed the supervisor *** has my money before the renewal date and their actions constitute fraud. This is a company operating on greed and unfortunately they are not a member of Better Business Bureau.

This company is dispicable!I called to customer service bc I had been charged (on my renewal) double the rate that I had been charged, thinking it was a mistake, I asked them to refund the overcharge. I was informed that, was the correct renewal rate, and that I shouldve been aware of the rate increase, as it was included in the packet mailed to me in Aug., however, as I explained to the person on the other end of the phone, I had yet to receive the packet that included my new cards and the new rate. As I was unhappy with the new rate, and was unaware of the higher cost, I respectfully asked that they refund me the monthly charge, as it was charged that day( the renewal date), and cancel my membership. I was told that *** doesnt give refunds for monthly charges, regardless of whether I knew or not about the rate increase, and it was not their problem that I didnt receive the renewal packet with that pertinent information!! I asked to speak to a supervisor, who was just as uncaring and unwavering in her role!It seems funny and sad, that a company as large as AAA, under these circumstances, will not return a customers money, no matter how small the amount is, and does business in such a rude and uncaring way!Maybe if they would have offered a discounted rate to keep my business or even addressed the situation with a bit more care and understanding of the situation, they couldve saved a customer and a bad review as well as the accompanying complaint to the BBB, but no, they are just a money hungry company driven by greed!

Absolutely disgusting company. Waited 5 hours for a tow was basically never serviced. Figured out how to get my car fixed and moving HOURS before I called in with my request. Call to cancel that tow I waited so long for, come to find out they never canceled it. Now I got a moronic tow truck driver blowing up my phone at 1 in the morning when I very blantantly tried to cancel my tow, they never canceled my request. *** IS A JOKE!

Got a promotion in the mail saying I could get two memberships for $39.95. It's specifically says for roadside assistance "any car, any place anytime no matter how far away you are even hundreds of miles." So I bought the membership for me and my girlfriend, thinking we had peace of mind in case we ever gotten to trouble on the road.Well, We broke down and had to call AAA roadside assistance for a tow truck. When he arrived he said AAA only covers the first seven miles and we had to pay for the rest. We were about 40 mi away and it was going to be over $200! He also said there are different levels of membership, and you have to spend more money buying a higher level membership to have towing covered more than 7 mi. It says nothing like this in the promotional materials I got from AAA. Complete scam. Old bait and switch. Buyer beware.

They left me stranded 30 minutes from my home on the side of the highway, with a man calling the cops repeatedly on me for being broke down in front of his house. Triple-a left me there for hours on end with me repeatedly calling. Then I had to pay for my driver's gas. I live in conifer. This happened off ********** in ********.

I have ************* on my home and autos. This will be my last year. I just want to warn everyone that if you dont go paperless they will charge you an extra $300 a year for insurance. Be careful.

Bad experience. I tried to contact them in an emergency and they kept saying that my account could not be verified even though I was logged into my account. AAA tried to charge my credit card for automatic renewal when I never agreed to auto renewal. Waste of money. No help when I needed it most.

I've been a member in Colorado since 2001. I called to day about a battery for my car. The customer service lady gave me the wrong information. This was a terrible experience.Poor service if the info is wrong!Also- the automated system was not able to understand if I spoke or entered my info on the keypad.I miss getting a live agent as in the past. AAA seems to be a lot more trouble that they are worth.

My family has had *** for over 46 years. I am a premium member. Last night was nightmare service with *** dispatch. I had broken down in a dangerous highway. I am a senior recovering from paralysis. Disabled. I feel I was discriminated against by *** dispatch that thought I was some drunk or druggie. It took 5 calls (found 4 operators didn't place service call). I stutter and lisp. The tow guy said I had a attitude and he might pick me up in 2 hours. 98 degree heat. Finally owner of tow company came. Said the employee was new and he had a attitude. I was terrified, crying. shaking. Had peed myself. Stuck just feet from a busy highway with trucks and vehicles whizzing by. I have no family, and had just moved back three days earlier to family home in ******. This is a area on Colorado's Western Slope that is rural ranch with active militia and survivalists. Four *** operators kept insisting I was in **************, basically thinking I was some drunk joke. I kept telling them I was on the highway to **********, and lived 6 miles north in ******. I was broken down just outside *****. One *** operator even asked if I knew what state I was in. Again, implied I was a joke or some drunk. At one point behind me a guy got out of his vehicle then walked the highway. Like many people in ranch communities he had a side arm and two clips on his belt. I was shaking and terrified at that point. Triple *** left me in a dangerous situation, the operators thought I was some nut case on drugs or alcohol. I am a 67 year old disabled woman recovering from paralysis. I have numerous health problems, stutter when stressed, so instead of the *** operators seeing a disabled person, I was labeled a drunk nut case. I wish to pursue this. As a ending, I finally was able to get a 5th *** operator - Dispatch who realized I was really a disabled person, got me help, and the tow driver - company owner that finally helped me get 6 miles down the road to a repair shop.

I had AAA for years, about 4 years ago with 3 houses and 3 cars insured my rates started to increase by more than a thousand dollars per year, I had heated discussions and negotiations with my rep ********************* for years until this year when it seemed they would try to charge me over $10,000 per year for the same coverage. I tried to make contact with ********************* multiple times and was finally told he was no longer with the company. I could never get a rep on the phone so I went into the main Colorado office to get help, then I was told that ********************* was still with the company but unable (refused) to talk to me. I refused another massive increase and had to get a different rep just to cancel my policy, which I did. AAA lost my business because ********************* refused to talk to me and I was told I could not switch reps and keep AAA. So I am now with another company but kept roadside assistance.I had a car break down on me yesterday and called for a tow truck, they sent a jump start van. I had them reschedule the tow for this morning since I could no longer wait for a tow. I was called and told the driver was nearby and I could go meet him and they sent a jump start van again. This screwed my day again because I had to wait for a tow truck driver. The car was towed to my house but it just seems to me that AAA has just gone to h*** as far as any kind of service and customer relationships. I still cannot get any response to my complaints and I do not understand why AAA has become such a dog of a company. Prices are way too high and to try to raise my rates to more than double after roughly 6 years of being with AAA, you have lost my insurance business and I will no longer recommend AAA to anyone. If a human wants to deal with my complaint, please call me.*****************************
