Called the Colorado Eye Clinic for a routine eye exam. 280.001/6/25 at 3:15 PM After paying with my Amex card but before seeing the MD I was informed that my insurance did cover the exam. Once I finally got into an exam room. I waited so long that they had to reapply the eyes drops to dilate my eyes. After spending a little while doing the exam they ask me to come back in a few days. I thought it was because it was getting late, and they didnt finish the eye exam. THEY NEVER MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT AN ADDITIONAL COST. 1/20/25 at 2:00 PM ************** / 1/14/25, 2:24PM Hi ******, this is ****** again from Colorado Eye Clinic. Just calling you back about your appointment on the 20th. So you are not doing any sort of big procedure that day. I just talked with the doctor. He is planning on doing. Let's see what he said further evaluation for the dry eye and will do some tests from there, but I just wanted to confirm with you that there will be no procedure that day. About a month before my Amex card was refunded. I called to inquire about my refund. they offered to perform other eye procedures, but I never went back after they finish my eye exam. Two and a half months later, out of nowhere I received the following ************** / 3/22/25, 11:33AM You have a balance for your visit at Colorado Eye Clinic. View and pay your bill at ********************************************. request that they send me an invoice stating that my bill was paid in full. 5 weeks later. On 4/29/25, @1:50PM, **** ********, MD returned my call. I tried to explain why I should never have received a bill for $257. He stated that *************** wouldnt pay the $257 because it was my annual out of pocket deductible and that If I had a problem, I should call them. I had no problems with the insurance company; I was contesting the $257 he charged me with no notice until over two months later He told me that if I had any more questions that I should email him and hung up.
