Very suspect...FYI, the phone number under the BBB's own website for 'In The Loop', goes to a random man named ***** in ******. Is this normal for an **************** in Denver? Call the phone number and see for yourself. But that is not the issue. So I am a single gay man who just got over a huge breakup. I cry everyday over it. I was on ******** and a singles ad came up. I clicked on it to see what it was then exited it. 12 hours later i get a phone call saying that I scheduled an appointment with 'In The Loop Denver' for an appoinment. I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR ANY APPOINMENT. Once on the phone a Homosexual woman, insured me of how amazing this company was. The sales woman assured me it was a homosexual acceptable and inclusive environment. The sales woman showed me slides of all these cool events they go to and how she would be at events and she was involved and it was all going to be amazing and fun and adventurous...OK... So I believed her in my most vulnurable place after a breakup and depression. Once I signed up I checked out the website and ALL the events were different now. I was promised that there were tons of free events especially since i just payed $600 for 6 months, and I believed her for the slides they orriginally showed me had all sorts of free events they offered. In reality not ONE event was free. They present fake locations and events in thier original slides before you sign up then when you sign up the real locations are different and less desirable and not free. After I discovered this, I called the main office within 24 business hours to find out more. The owner **** told me that her business isnt for homosexuals and that she was sorry for the miscommunication. I also asked about the events being different and she denied it. I decided at this point that everything was a lie, including the contract and I needed a refund. Now I have no access to anything i payed for. I'm locked out of 'In The Loop' with no refund. She blocked me from everything.

    ITL RESPONSE:
This is a total lie. Our DENVER office number (the location ******* signed up for is:  ************. We have been in business for over *********************************** ********

    ITL RESPONSE:
This is also a total lie. For anyone to book an appointment they have to request information from us. ******* saw us on FB., then went to our website. On the website is a page where you can submit your information. We then get that request,  reach out via text message, email and phone to tell the interested party, then tell them about what we do. If they are interested in joining our group, set up an in person appointment or a zoom appointment. ******* set up a zoom appointment with our director *****. These appointments usually take about 45 minutes to an hour to go over our activities and travel options for our clients.

    ITLs RESPONSE:
This is also a total lie. We went over our existing current Denver calendar wit h *******.  As we do with every single prospective client. Half of our events in Denver are completely free to attend or under $10.  This has been the case for 7 years. This was shown to him in length, as well as our travel options. We do not have any fake locations???  We have thriving locations in *******, ******, Denver and *******.   So we have NO idea what he is talking about.

    ITLs RESPONSE:
******* contacted us 4 days after he joined. He did not contact us within 24 hours. This is a proven lie.

    ITLs RESPONSE:
This is a 100% TOTAL and COMPLETE LIE. I, ****, am the owner. I have NEVER SPOKEN with ******* in my entire life. We have ***** members and our head Director ***** is gay, OH and my SON Is gay. This is a GROSS fabrication.

    ITLS RESPONSE:
******* has harassed our staff on multiple occasions. ******* has suggested (IN WRITING), that he was going to attend our events in the future and harass our members.  ******* has sent me filthy emails calling me names and making nasty comments about my appearance, which is WEIRD as I have never met him. His harassment has gotten to the point that we are considering getting a restraining order.
When ANYONE signs up for a membership with In the Loop, they  set up an appointment with us. We go over EVERYTHING. The upcoming trips and event calendars, our membership options and our cancellation policy. NOT only do we READ The policy in its entirety, to prospective clients , they then have to sign a membership document, and initial TWICE that they understand this cancellation policy. We do this BEFORE we onboard anyone.
******* reached out the WEEK after he had had access to our events and then stated he no longer wanted to be a member because he got a new boyfriend. We explained that we are not a dating service, and that he could enjoy our activities. All of which he had had access to.

He never spoke with me. ******* We would never tell anyone they are not welcome because of their sexual preferences. That is absolutely a lie. Also, stated in EVERYONEs membership agreement clearly, it says we can ban anyone from our events if we think their behavior is a threat to our people or our business. From the ongoing gross emails, false reviews/complaints and literal THREATS ******* has made to us, it is our only recourse to ban him from events. We had reached out initially to ******* and offered to comp some events and tried to make him feel comfortable at our activities. We have all of this in email correspondence.
This mans complaint is honestly the most intentional lies we have ever had made against our company.

We are very confused by this accusation. We have attached the Membership Agreement that ****************** signed when he joined IN the Loop. The cancellation policy was verbally outlined to him BEFORE he was asked to read the Membership agreement and initial in two different locations that he has read and understood it. As you can see, under h(i). the cancellation policy clearly states that you can cancel your membership if you move outside of a 100 mile radius. If you have cancelled, you must provide 2 out of 3 of the valid documents listed under the cancellation policy. The valid documents include: a new lease/mortgage, utility bill and a new drivers license. Once we have received 2 out of 3 of those documents, we are more than happy to cancel the membership. ****************** has ONLY provided a job offer letter. He sent this this to us via email on January 3rd, ****. This letter is not one of the valid documents listed under the cancellation policy. We have asked ****************** to send the correct documentation. He stated his job helps with moving and temporary housing and he stated he would send his relocation paperwork. We stated we would review that and see how we could help him in this unique situation. He has yet to send that documentation or any documentation outside of the offer letter. We are more than happy to help in any way we can to cancel ****************** membership if he has moved. The cancellation policy was verbally outlined to him BEFORE he was asked to read the Membership agreement and initial in two different locations that he has read and understood it. Again, if he's able to send any other documentation proving that he has actually moved, we're happy to take a look at that as well to see what we can do.
