We had a new air conditioning system installed earlier this year before the heatwave and I am sure glad we did! our house has been very comfortable! I wanted a quiet running air conditioner and this unit the comfort advisor recommended is quiet and also more efficient being a two stage unit. The installation was done in one day and we were very happy with their work. They were courteous, professional and got the job done as promised.From front office people to the technicians, and all inbetween who work to provide fantastic service I want to say Thank You Sanders and Johnson for a Job Well Done! Been a customer for over 20 years and when they show up they are great. However, this is the 3rd year they have cancelled and rescheduled a routine maintenance appt. After rescheduling for my routine maintenance check this year they called again to reschedule for the second time. I will no longer do business with this company and if you buy a product from them and want routine maintenance, good luck!Sanders & Johnson, Inc.

*****, thank you for allowing us to care for your home for the past 20 years. We appreciate your feedback and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Wed also like to shed some light on the circumstances that led to a delayed arrival. Preventative maintenance is important, and were glad youre taking care of your equipment appropriately. In some situations,unfortunately, preventative maintenance appointments must take a back seat to clients that have emergencies or are experiencing no heat during particularly cold temperatures. Unfortunately, this is what happened on the day of your appointment, and was the reason our arrival window was less accurate than we would have liked. In these cases, we make every effort that we can to communicate in real time. We have heard your feedback, and are implementing a new maintenance schedule, which will handle these routine appointments throughout the year and in less extreme temperatures, so that we can make sure our arrival windows are as accurate as possible and we dont have to leave anyone in the heat or extreme cold without HVAC service.Review fromBeth P

S&J Technician misrepresented alleged issues with 3 year old furnace. Furnace was working when the tech arrived and didn’t work when he left. He was “uncomfortable” when I started taking pictures and video after he bent an access door. He took pictures of my water heater when I told him to stop. He said company required it. I continued to object but he didn’t stop. Had another company come to check the alleged over amping component. This company found no problem. A different part S&J said seemed bad was fully functioning. However, there was a wire plugged into the side of the blower that was mysteriously loose. When secured in the the plug the blower kicked on. An adjustment to the gas pressure stopped the legitimate overheating issue. No parts required. S&J left me with no heat for several days. The man answering their phone said I should “just leave tech alone and let him do his magic. Homeowners just leave the technician alone with the furnace”. It’s a good thing I didn’t. One part suggested to be a problem was $162 labor to install. No telling how much I would have been charged for nonexistent malfunctioning parts!!Sanders & Johnson, Inc.

****, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your scheduled maintenance appointment. Upon arrival, ************** started with his maintenance checklist, which includes inspecting both your furnace and your water heater to ensure that both will function correctly, and lengthen the lifespan of your homes systems. This service, which includes both inspections,is important for your home and we did not want to fail to provide our specified work. It is our protocol to photograph the equipment, not only so that our technicians can provide the customer with examples of the work performed, but also so that we can reference before and after images and ensure that problems are resolved correctly. The intent behind those photos is to protect you as the homeowner, and allow our technicians to showcase proof of the work performed,not to make anyone uncomfortable. While discussing your equipment with you, ************** noted that you said you had been experiencing issues with your furnace shutting down on limit. Upon investigation, this was in fact a persistent issue with your furnace that would not improve on its own. ************** recommended a solution that would not only resolve the issue you were experiencing in the short term, but prevent issues in the long term. We pride ourselves on only making recommendations homeowners actually need, and the recommendations that are in their absolute best interest. We stand by our assessment and still recommend that part replacement. In addition, the technician's notes, which you signed and which were emailed to you, clearly stated the *** was _starting_ to overamp. He did not say it was an emergency that needed immediate replacement. All ****** will overamp when they are nearing the end of their service lives and we recommend you pick the day to replace it rather than risk it failing during a period of peak demand when appointment wait times can stretch for days. We will also point out that ************** cleaned out your filter rack spot along with your ducts that you said were dirty, and he also helped you program a new schedule on your thermostat, all chargeable services that he gave to you for free. Furthermore it is atypical for customers to film our technicians the entire time they are in the home. In this instance,your filming was impeding the ability of ************** to complete your service in a timely manner, which is why we requested that you refrain from continuing that behavior.Review fromPatty B

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE, I HAD THE COMPANY COME OUT TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY SWAMPCOOLER THE GUY SAID I NEED A NEW ONE SO HE SET UP A TIME FOR A ESTIMATOR TO COME OVER. THE ESTIMATOR DID NOT HAVE HIS OWN LADDER FINE USE MINE ITS HOT LETS GET THIS FIXED. SO THE GUY DOES HIS STUFF COMES BACK IN THE HOUSE AND GIVES ME A ESTIMATE OF OVER $10,000 WHAT FOR A SWAMP COOLER?? HE SENT THE ESTIMATE TO MY EMAIL AND IT WAS JUST BOTHERING ME SO I LOOKED IT UP HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST FOR THE **** FROM THE COMPANY THEY DEALT WITH AND THE **** WAS TO A LAY PERSON OFF THE STREET $1700 SO SANDERS AND JOHNSON *** IS CHARGING $8000 YES THATS RIGHT $8,000 FOR INSTAL??? WOW NEVER HAVE I SEEN SUCH A TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE AND YOU BET I WILL TELL ALL OF MY FRIENDS NOT TO USE THEM AND I WILL BE CALLING THE BBB. At ********************** and **********************, our priority is always to make the best and most effective recommendation to each customer to ensure they are comfortable and cool in their home. In the case of your home, our expert technician determined that your existing swamp cooler had older, worn parts that could not be salvaged and were beginning to damage the integrity of your roof. Given these findings, we recommended (and still maintain that you need) a replacement system. When we install a new system, the hard cost of the equipment is one of many components of the price. We only install premium, highly efficient systems that are built to last. Our install crew consists of multiple skilled workers,who need time to install, test, and then calibrate the system to the manufacturers specifications. In addition to these costs, we incur overhead costs for parts, travel, fuel, scheduling, and more. In the ****** area, our prices are not only competitive, but we over deliver in terms off quality of service and years of expertise. BEWARE this company is NOT Day ******************* In our experience, Sanders & Johnson does NOT stand behind Days work or even their own. Sanders & Johnson provided defective service on a new Lochinvar Knight boiler that required us to get another heating & plumbing company to fix. S&J also told us replace 3 Trane furnaces, claiming that they had cracked heat exchangers and were dangerous, but we later learned from Trane that these heat exchangers were all under warranty and could be replaced with new heat exchangers at a fraction of the cost of new furnaces, and we also learned from another heating & plumbing company that the most used of these 3 furnaces did not actually have heat exchanger cracks (we did not recheck the other 2). During our research into these issues, we were told by two other industry professionals one tech familiar with S&J and one well-known HVAC and plumbing wholesaler who is also familiar with S&J that they believe S&J is not an honest company. We believe that S&J has engaged in deceptive trade practices in violation of the ******** Consumer Protection Act. We strongly recommend that you use another heating & plumbing company to meet your needs. If you are considering using Sanders & Johnson, reconsider. I have supporting documents to support everything I've written but don't see a way to include these on the BBB site. In lieu of these, I include the following exerpt from the full complaint:9.When I shared the diagnostic report from Sensible with Sanders & Johnson, S&J refused to engage to correct the defects. When I specifically pointed out the gas leak on the line installed by S&Js predecessor company and requested urgent help, S&J told me, If you have a gas leak please get it fixed by whoever is available, if you are concerned you can always call Xcel. As we discussed previously, Sanders and Johnson does not have any liability for any work that was completed by Day Plumbing. Meanwhile, S&J continues to use the Day logo.Sanders & Johnson, Inc.

This individual's facts are wrong and we vehemently deny his
allegations. He falsely describes the full nature and character of the
work that was performed, and incorrectly states which company performed the
work and our companys obligations to him relative to that work. Our work
was not defective and did not cause any damage. As an attorney, this individual is
well aware that his statements are false.
