I purchased two miniature dachshund puppies from JM Kennelsone in 2023 and another in 2025, about a year and a half apart. Sadly, both developed serious health issues and had to be euthanized. The first suffered a severe jaw injury; the second tested positive for parasites (Giardia and Coccidia) and developed respiratory distress just three weeks after coming home.I contacted the breeder to share what had happened and request a refund. Instead of showing concern or a willingness to resolve the matter, she responded with hostility, focused solely on contract technicalities, and made personal accusationsincluding suggesting I caused the dogs injuries.Ive had a dachshund for over four years who is happy, healthy, and well cared for. I know how to care for dogs, and the idea that I caused these medical issues is not only falseits deeply upsetting.Ive since found other public reviews reporting similar issues, especially involving parasites. I believe potential buyers deserve to know the risks. This experience was heartbreaking, and I wouldnt want anyone else to go through what I did.

When puppies are purchased from JM Kennels they are purchased under contract, signed by both parties. Our contract is publicly displayed on our website for anyone to read prior to purchasing a puppy. All puppies are to be seen by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours after leaving JM kennels. Once the puppy has a "well puppy exam", then the One Year Health  Guarantee kicks in. If a puppy does not pass it's well puppy exam, the new owner has the right to return the puppy. If any of our puppies have parasites, we have been very willing to supply the medication. **** got medication from his vet assuming he treated the puppy. The One Year Health Guarantee covers any genetic issues that could show up in that first year, that would cause a life-threatening issue. If the puppy should experience a life threatening issue due to a genetic issue, it is the responsibility of the new owner to contact JM Kennels within 48 hours with all medical reports including x-ray and blood work. Those reports would then be sent to our private veterinarian located in ******** *** In 2023, the first puppy purchased, **** never sent the well puppy check for the puppy.  He contacted me when the puppy was 3-4 months old and that the puppy broke it's jaw from chewing on a rock and had to be put down. I asked for the medical records on the puppy for the report and **** emailed stating that he would send those to me, but never did. In February 2025, **** reached out again, and placed a deposit for another puppy. **** took the puppy home on March 18, 2025. On March 19, 2025 **** texted expressing that he may not be able to deal with the puppy, that he was crying all the time and upsetting his other dog. He was asking for guidance. It was suggested to get the puppy a stuffed toy with the heartbeat in it. **** texted on May 1, 2025 "the puppy struggles continue. I have to work during the day and he cries the entire time I am gone. When I am home, I give him a solid hour and a half of one on one time...... I don't know how to get him to calm down". I suggested that maybe the puppy needed a new home. **** never replied until May 9, 2025 via email, stating the puppy was experiencing scleral hemorrhages (bleeding) in one eye, then the other. Then expressing the puppy developed labored breathing and had to be put down. In the email, **** expressed that due to his 2 experiences, he wanted to be refunded. I expressed to **** that I need all medical reports as to what and why this happened and he refuses to do so. Now claiming that I am being hostile. I did express to **** that without medical evidence, that one could "assume" physical abuse as he could assume "bad breeding practices". Without medical records, we are only able to "assume" the conditions of both puppies. **** was insulted and therefore is no longer wanting a resolution from me. We have been very willing to work with ****, but he is unwilling to supply the necessary medical reports

Definitely a puppy mill, tons of dogs on the property. I did purchase a puppy from them, and they gave him is shots that day, with no mention of the possibility of side effects. She could care less about my home, just the payment. When I asked to purchase the puppy, she told me a higher price. I had to show her, her OWN website and she finally agreed to give me the correct price. The puppy contract that's on her website also says if the buyer makes a disparaging ****** they will seek $5000 in damages which violates the *** consumer review fairness act. She also only gives 3 days for a vet visit or health agreement is void.
