We applied for a mortgage through First National Bank, we were pre-approved, around April 3rd or 4th. We found a house. Paid for an inspection ($410.00), paid ******* money ($3,000). The appraisal was also completed. We were set to close on June 24th. ******************* CALLED us on MAY 15th telling us one of us didn't have credit and would have to get a credit card so they could approve the loan. We were supposed to CLOSE on MAY 24th! So we obtained a credit card, made a purchase and were supposed to wait 14 days like ******************* instructed us to do. Meanwhile our realtor had to convince the Sellers to extend the contract. The Sellers agreed. The contract was extended to June 12th. We get to this date, the credit still has not hit. The contract needs to be extended AGAIN, this time the Sellers declined. They wanted nothing to do with the lender. I expressed my frustration in an email to the bank. I sent that on June 13th. Explaining they screwed up and they need to reimburse us the money we lost because **** did not do her job correctly. We have yet to hear from them.

    Dear BBB,

We received two letters in the mail today from the BBB dated June 20, 2024, and June 23, 2024. Please note that a response to this complaint was written on June 27, 2024, and that it is in route to ******************. However, we still thought it would be appropriate to give you a timely response informing you of our communication with the borrower via your online complaint system. We appreciate all of the services that your organization provides.

I am rejecting this response because: The last communication we had was that First National CLAIMED to have sent us a letter " resolving" our issue. We have yet to receive this letter. In the email it stated I had 3 days to respond if the problem was resolved.  I sent an email to this e-mail address stating it would NOT be resolved until we received this letter and a check for $3,410 was included. First National has done NOTHING to solve our issue of them s******* us over on our house. Please do NOT close this case.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

First National states they mailed us a letter or something,  we have yet to receive ANYTHING from them, not even an apology.  I will not accept anything from them unless it's a check for $3,410.00.

    Sincerely,
