I have been a long-time customer of ********************. I never had a problem until August 16. They had replaced all of my shocks and struts a few weeks earlier. On the last visit, they told me I should replace the front left wheel hub and bearings for $700, because they were causing a rubbing noise or vibration when I turned the wheels to the right. They had twice inspected my truck for that noise about a year before and concluded they did not know the reason and told me not to worry. I paid for that first inspection at my request, but I did not request the second inspection which they did only a few months later. I had paid the ******** ****** dealer to inspect my truck for that noise and they did not determine the cause. This time, Roadmasters inspected the noise again without my requests and insisted they knew the cause. I told them about the prior inspections and recommendations to do nothing and told them I did not want to do this unless they were sure it would work. They assured me they knew the source because they tested my truck on the rack in 4-wheel drive and isolated the noise, so I approved it. I picked up my truck after 5 on that Friday August 16. As I drove home, I noticed the same vibration as before. They had not told me that when I picked up my truck. I called them Monday morning August 19 and spoke with **** and told him all of this and that I was upset they talked me into this repair and did not tell me it did not work. I wasn't even sure they had done the work. He said he would talk with the mechanic and call me back. He never did. I left 2 detailed messages on their website check-in system on 9/ 6/22 and about two weeks later asking them to call or email me and there was no response. I do not know if they actually replaced the hub and bearings. Even if they did replace the parts, I don't think I should have to pay for the labor because they talked me into this repair with assurances. I am very disappointed that they have ignored me completely.
