On December 13, the rear window of our car was smashed during a break-in. We called Jiffy Auto Glass and they came out the next day to replace the windo. Once done, the technician told my wife that the glass was in but the window wouldn't roll up because "there was something wrong with the regulator or motor." He s he said he couldn't fix it and that we'd need to go into an auto shop. We took the car into ********************* (***) for repair. After inspecting the inside of the door, we were told that the regulator needed to be replaced. The technician for *** took pictures and explained there were several issues with the Jiffy repair which likely caused the failure of the regulator. First, the vapor barriers had been cut apart and would need to be replaced. Second, there was still glass in the window chanel and throughout the door. This amount of glass implied that the Jiffy tech had not properly cleaned the area, and so when he attempted to roll up the window it ground up the glass into the regulator which damaged it beyond repair. The cost for the repair would be $685. At this time, I reached back out to Jiffy and spoke to *****************, GM/Owner. ************ was at first responsive but was quick to say that Jiffy is not responsible for the regulator. He said confidently that his technician knows how to clean out broken glass and that the regulator was damaged by the break-in and became very upset. While the team at *** felt strongly this was not the case, I ultimately am not arguing how the regulator was damaged. Instead, my issue is that the Jiffy tech cut the vapor barriers rather than removing them and replacing them, which cost me $150 of the total $685 bill. ************ and his co-owner, *********************, had repeated emails with me where they reapeatedly lied about the repair and shifted blame. To add insult to injury, they ultimately *****'d me $28 for the damage without explanation. I have left phone and email messages with no response.

Not worth my time.  This guy is a lying tool and can eat a bag of dicks.  Feel free to pass that onto him.

      Thanks!

I am rejecting this response because: it is vulgar, insulting and in no way addresses the issue. Please read the response, it should immediately impact the rating of this business, otherwise what is the purpose of the BBB?

      Sincerely,
