    We purchased a new ********* riding lawn mower 9/2024. We had to take it back to Hitchin Post the same day due to excessive oil leaking and smoking. We were told it was a bad valve cover gaskets and was supposedly repaired. We put the mower away as it was end of mowing season. We got the mower out in June 2025 and after mowing for about 10 minutes the mower was leaking oil and smoking. We took the mower back to Hitchin Post on June 7th and Hitchin Post has had it since. They have made one excuse after another why it isn't fixed. We contacted ********* and they gave us another dealership to take the mower to for repair. This riding lawn mower has less than 2 hours of usage. We would not recommend Hitchin Post to anyone and will not do business with them again.

    Dear **********,
    We are very sorry for the lack of quick repair on your mower. Your mower is a ***** with a ********* engine in it. We examined your garden tractor and then spoke to ********* technical support. They told us about a number of items to check. This involved ***** tools that we did not have. We ordered the items and one had arrived on Tuesday, 6/24. The ********** picked up their tractor on Wed. 6/25 and we did not get to utilize the tools that ********* recommended to determine leak-down and compression.
    Now - regarding communication, my staff communicated with the customer more than three times via personal communication, text and the phone while the mower was at the Post. We told the ********** that we were working with ***** technical support, ordered tools and were waiting for the shipment. This week, the day that one of the tools arrived, Mr ******** called and said that the tractor had to be repaired by the end of the day. My mechanic was working on another repair and was planning on their mower next. We told the ********** that we could NOT meet their request. He arrived to get the tractor and upset a number of my staff with his communication and demands.
    Hitchin' Post strives to achieve correct productive repairs PLUS continuous communciation. We believe that we did our best with this situation BUT clearly the ********** expectations were not achieved. We appologize for the misunderstanding and will continue to improve in the service / repair industry.
