I am rejecting this response because:

**** is making this more than it is.  He fumbled our tax return.  He stands behind his work.  He wont admit he gave us deductions we were not eligible for.  Thus our return needed to be amended.  **** is charging us $742.50 to review his work, his return, to defend his work-even though it was deemed negligible from two other tax professionals.  **** is charging us for reviewing our return.  He is calling it consulting.  THERE was no consultation.  He looked over our return and said it is our fault because we signed off on it.  We signed off on it believing it was done correctly at the time of filing. And now **** is charging us for the time he spent reviewing our return upon hearing that it was done incorrectly.  We feel we are not responsible for the invoice.  There was no consultation.  He was no longer our accountant.  He is simply charging us for his time to look over his poor return her prepared for us.

    Sincerely,

****** is 100% misinformed about the concerns he has as a taxpayer.   He was with us for over 10 years, as we did his taxes annually with information provided.  Then he bought a real estate property and ask to file his return with accurate and best advice allowed by law.   Being 35+ year in the business I did. and he receive depreciation deductions allowed by law.   He then over time called me and wanted me to explain and detailed review of his taxes, and why others felt his return was wrong, so I reviewed his taxes and provided consulting advice as REQUESTED.    He failed to provide these experts contacts when asked and he failed to provide any written law or explanation to why they felt his return was wrong.  He failed to provide any Federal or State contacts that we also review and charge for our time.  Others wanted to amend ******* tax and charge for their service.  I, as well own a few businesses and always do the right thing for customers and have for years and provide services for my hourly rate as well.   He approached my firm and wanted an answer to the tax questions and options to the filed return.   The returns were filed both Federally and State as both his wife and ****** signed the **** as required by law.     This means he accepted the return after review and approval for it to be summitted electronically from us to the government.  We charged for our time and all my clients know that as well as ****** for over 10 years.  Now, I guess we went with another accountant amended his return, and after he filed with them and amended his return, he wanted my expert knowledge on why he did that.  You have every right to amend your returns and go somewhere local in Michigan if you want to.  This complaint has only come out because ****** will not pay for the consulting time HE asked for.  ****** will need to have a learning experience or again in the future claim he was taken advantage of.   All after numerous emails, phone calls, reviews of the return, approving the return, efiling the return, and years later wanted to change his return, with other and claims we did something wrong.  I feel bad for ******, as I guess he fails to take and responsibility for his taxes and wants to publicly complain of an expert that is tied to confidential information had have been for 35+ years.   He needs to grow up and pay his bills for the work he asked for and I need to screen my future clients for a faulty trait of certain taxpayers.  I come to realize that taxpayers will use you and lie about what they want to provide to you as it helps them.  He not the first and won't be the last taxpayer that clearly don't understand their tax and want free service.  He could have been honest with us, and we would have changed his return if he did not want the depreciation in the year filed.

****** is a prime example that wants to blame an expert after he knows he never spent time detailing his decisions with us when it was filed.  As usual, for the 10th year, ****** dropped off his files and we filed the returns after his review and acceptance of the return.  As many taxpayers, ****** failed to even be honest with us and went to others to review his return and amend his return.   All his contact with others, their education, their experience, their history was never disclosed to us to discuss, and the right thing to do is pay for your consulting time and decide once you are honest with all involved.   This is why attorneys and accounting require a deposit or retainer in this current world we live in, as the client wants free advice and will not pay for it, AFTER ASKING FOR THE SERVICE.  He failed to spend any of the time with us that I guess he did with his new accountant, explaining the details of his life, his real estate job and responsibilities, and the fact that he did not want depreciation in advance but over time.  Over the 35+ years of taxes I have seen a very small part of the human race that want your expert advice, pay for it, accept it, sign the documents as accurate, then at some point in the future, blame the expert.   The IRS knows this as well, because at the first sign of an audit the typical answer of the taxpayer is, my professional did it.  Which is 100% wrong. ****** had a S Corp set up for real estate and he needed to use it and failed to do that as he didn't not want to pay for another tax return.

****** HAS BEEN A REAL ESTATE PROFESSIOANL FOR YEARS, HE REQUESTED ME TO COMPLETE HIS TAXES WITH THE BEST AND LOWEST TAXES ALLOWED.   HE AND HIE WIFE REVIEWED AND SIGNED THE **** REQUIRED FORM THAT IS REQUIRED BY THE *** TO EFILE THE RETURN.   IF HE WANTED TO CHANGE THE RETURN AND BUSINESS HAS THE RIGHT TO FIX ERRORS AND MISTAKES PRIOR TO GOING TO OTHERS AND CLAIMING THE RETURN IS WRONG.   ****** FAILED TO ASK ABOUT HIS RETURN TILL AFTER IT WAS FILED. WE CAHRGE FOR CONSULTING, REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OPTIONS FOR THE CLIENT.   ****** NEVER WANTED CONSULTING PRIOR TO YEARS OF TAX FILING AND HIE RETURN WAS ALWAYS CORRECT IN HIS EYES FOR YEARS.   NOW THAT HE WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE WE WANTS US TO JUSTIFY THE ***** ACCOUNTANTS WORK, WITHOUT PROVIDED ***** CONTACTS, EMAILS, ADDRESSES OR TAX HISTORY. REGARLESS OF WHAT OTHER PROFESSIONAL BELEIVE, WE HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CORRECT AND CHARGE FOR YOUR TIME THAT ****** WANTS US TO SPEND ON HIS DECITION TO CHANGE THE RETURN.HE COULD HAVE CHANGED THE RETURN AND LEFT.   BUT TO COME BACK TO US WANTING US TO WASTE TIME AND PAY FOR ANY CHANGES IS CHILDISH.   SEEMS HE LIKE OUR TAXES FOR YEARS AND WE SET UP A S CORP FOR REAL ESTATE THE ****** DID NOT WHAT TO USE.  NEVER CONSULTED FOR YEARS AND NOW WANTS US TO CONSULT HIS CHANGES WITHOUT ANY CONCERN AS TO PROVIDED THE REASONS, OR THE CONTACT ON WHO DID HIS AMENDED RETURN.  THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE THAT A TAXPAYER WANTS TO BLAME THE SERVICE AFTER THEY AGREE, APPROVE, AND SIGN THE RETURN. HE CAN PAY US FOR THE CONSLTING WE DID AFTER HIS TAXES AS IT WANTED DETAIL OF THE RETURN. WE CHARGE EVERYBODY FOR ANY TIME WE SPEND ON WORK REQUESTED BY ALL TAXPAYERS.  OVER 35 YEARS ITS SEEMS NORMAL THAT A TAXPAYER WANTS TO LEAVE WITHOUT PAYING THIER LAST CHARGES.

I am rejecting this response because:

    1.  $742.60 for consulting on a previously filed tax return is an absolute ridiculous amount of money.

    2.  There was absolutely no consulting. **** is charging us for his time to review the return he previously prepared for us. Hes charging us for his time to defend his return. He is not consulting with us.

**** is Monday morning quarterbacking the situation after getting called out upon learning that the tax return that he prepared for us was wrong and negligible. We signed off on the return thinking our accountant, **** prepared the return correctly. It wasnt until after the return was filed that we found out **** did the return incorrectly and negligibly.

And then he wants to charge us $742.60 for his errors and label it consulting fees.

Look up JCPs ****** reviews. He has a history of past clients complaining about the billing methods at JCP. This is ongoing with many past clients.

    Sincerely,

We deal with 600 clients a year and by our license we are nationwide.   We bill hourly for people that want our service and work well with our clients, these 600 yearly   You have been a client since 2013, ten years, no problem. My reviews come from the 35 years in business with constant return customers, and their referrals.  Not listed in BBB, ****** or YELP.   Thats for people that want to cry out publicly over their viewpoint. Your suggesting to look at review is simply the point I see.  4 people that want to complain about someone, I survive on the years of customer service 35 years 600 clients.

We discussed and set up your S Corp for your real estate.  I'm under a legal professional license cannot by ethics will not discloses the details I have and will not be worrying about 4 complaints in 35 years.   The new action for society is to talk bad publicly, about people you what to hate.  Happens in **** ******** and friendships.   Our 10-year of service for you shows that we did well for 10 years, and for others for 35 years of operation.   I'm the opposite I talk directly to the taxpayer and charge for my time as it always has been for your 10 years with me, and for the 35 years of operation.    I can't respond to what others say about or operation when you fail to disclose you were even questioning our service.  If you moved on, then move on.   Pay your outstanding bills and move on, is the honest thing to do.   But maybe real-estate is slow, and you just want to bark publicly   My 10-year record for you stand directly in different light that you want to complain about.
