Sept 23 - I called Rocky Mountain Detox in desperation to help my son. I had no idea how to help him and have no experience with detox centers. I was really hoping for sound advice. I spoke to *****. He advised me that if I could get my son there he could stay a week for detox, a month or 45 days. A week was $8000 and a month was $24,000. He never informed me that we had to commit to one or the other and if we requested a month it was non-refundable. He sent me a credit card link which was a docusign program. In a frantic state with worry for my son, I completed the docusign form which jumps from field to field for signature. I was unaware that in the meat of the form was binding language committing me to $25,000 for 1 month of treatment for my son. We were unable to convince my son to go in for treatment at that time.On Oct 3rd, we were able to get him to go in for treatment. Again in a bit of a panic, I dropped my son at the treatment center unaware of whether he would be there for 1 week or a month and they would not let me go inside of the center to admit him. I thought it would be recommended to me how long he should stay after initial evaluation. I asked ************************* at the center if I needed to do a new cc auth form or if the one previously done would still be usable. He assured me the one done previously was fine. I was unaware of the language in the form and at this time and was unable to pull it up in my email to read since the link had expired. I took his word for it and trusted him.Oct 13th - After a week of treatment my son chose to leave the facility. We were informed that the additional funds paid were non-refundable. Had I been made aware of this initially, we would have chose 7 day detox. Full disclosure of financial implications were never made. I was never verbally informed. I feel my fear and desperation to help my son were preyed upon.I am happy to pay for the week of detox, but would like a refund for the additional funds.
