    I recently hired Tru Moving to move my stuff less than 6 blocks away. I figured Id be looking at $500 maybe $700 b/c I did have to reschedule initially. My jaw almost hit the ground when they charged me almost $1,600 plus a $160 non refundable deposit ($1,800 total) for my simple little move. This is ridiculous!!!!!The individual, *****, who owns this company likes to take advantage. He dragged my simple move out to a seven hour ordeal. First, he rescheduled and then was hours late on the next day. ***** found out that I had to go to work and after that, everything started moving in slo-mo. SLO-mo times $160/hour. For a one bedroom move literally around the corner! On top of all of this, the movers basically refused to take my pictures. I have a tiny car so this took me multiple trips on my first day off the following week. In the meantime, I am getting charged from my old building. Then, his movers scratched up my new door. I do acknowledge that ***** contacted me after he found out that numerous items had been left behind. Of course, I did not want his crew touching my things after all of that and what about the door? Who is going to pay for that? Also, on top of all of this, one of movers tried to hit on me. He was right up in my personal space and thats just very unprofessional. Im not surprised though.
