Hired for a move on 08/15/2024 and 08/16/2024. Quoted $5000 for the move after a walkthrough of **************** to be moved. Quote included disassembly, packing (including packing materials), the move (6 guys, 2 trucks, 2 business days), unpacking, & assembly in new space. When asked, they claimed to be insured & sent over insurance documentation for landlords. Got a call on 08/12/2024 from *** claiming they had the opportunity to pick up another move on Friday (08/16) and Saturday (08/17) & wanted to change our move to later in the afternoon on Friday. Since this was a business move, that was outside of business hours & the time was declined. He offered to change it to Sunday during the day (still outside of business hours, but at least not at night after a full day of work) at NO additional charge. Time change was accepted. They only had 3 movers and 2 trucks until after 4pm on Thursday and we had to purchase packing materials/, as they did not provide what was needed. They were always late & failed to complete the job within the contracted time (breach of terms). On Sunday, he told another employee that WE initiated the change (not true) and demanded another $500. Not knowing any better, the other employee paid him the additional fee. They lied to my boss and told him I wanted to leave so they could leave early on Sunday, without completing the job. When they came back on Monday, we went over the damages (which they were made aware of and told that an insurance claim would be filed on their policy. Over $6000 of property was damaged. Insurance coverage was fraudulently represented. Business is not insured as a moving company and none of the damages are covered. When this was brought to the attention of the moving company, the male owner sent a string of texts trying to deny the damages, lie about his attempts to replace damaged property, intimidate, and harass me. After asking him to stop several times and have his office manager reach out I blocked his number.

    Business Response

The statement made from **** is false.

On ***** 10th received a call from **** requesting a move the same day. My husband *** arrive with another 2 works. Seeing that this was not a normal move but a Horder my husband explained that we will need to collect payment for the 1st load before we unload to ******* This is where **** kept saying his "TRUST" person was sending it and we would have payment.  We get to the 26ft truck packed to rim explaining again we are not proceeding to unload  "WYOMING " until we have payment. We at this point was at $1200 total that day work. **** kept saying it's coming always giving a different story, we asked for the "TRUST" persons number to see if we can expedite this payment nope wouldn't give just got another story. Being 1am now the 11th **** was told once again #1 we have jobs scheduled that morning at 9am so this needs to be taken care of before then. **** kept begging to just go unload he would have payment. We never received payment just many more excuses we couldn't do our jobs scheduled that day. **** was told that because we missed our scheduled jobs now he has to compensate for this now total went up to $1500. He was told many times that we have the right to hold hid items until we receive payment. Now here we are still no payment can't do no jobs I have to get this off my truck. So this is where *************** and myself had all agreed doing a contract now **** has until ***** 10th by 12pm payment or he forfeits it all so contract was written up and **** was VERY AWARE he now has until ***** 11 12pm we have payment or we now have every right to proceed what is needed to remove items from truck. He agreed and signed contract. Here we are ***** 11th  1215pm nothing no phone call mo text so left message to **** he has now list all items due to him violating contract. He once again we will have payment. Nope we rented a storage unloaded truck. At this point *** still TRUED to work with him give us payment and we will give him keys to storage. **** paid $1400 later that day. **** now demanding we better go unload his stuff. No now if you want us to drive to ******* and unload this is different  charge and need payment before we go. He refused and now called cops stating we stole his items and filing this false complaint.
