    On March 20, 2022 I paid **** $5600.00 for a long block engine. I was told that the engine would be warrantied for 5 year/ 100,000 miles whichever came first. A few days after getting the engine installed(from another shop) I had noticed that the engine was leaking oil and I had contacted **** via text message and he had told me to check the oil pan bolts to make sure they were all tight which I had done and it was still leaking oil. I had informed **** of this and which he had told me that when I had time to drop the truck back off to him to get looked at. About 2 weeks later I had noticed that I was getting white smoke coming out of my exhaust and had also informed **** of this and he gave me an explanation as to what it could be and had mentioned that when I had time to drop it off to him so he could diagnosis what the actual issue was. I hadnt had time to drop it off to him because it was my only means of transportation at the time and was working overtime in which his business was closed by the time I had gotten off of work. So when I had went back to a normal work schedule I tried contacting **** about getting my truck into his shop so he could diagnose the issue in which he hasnt returned any phone calls for about 10 months now and can not get a hold of him. My significant other tried calling him on March 22, 2023 in which he did not answer because it was late at night but he returned her phone call at 7:19am on March 23, 2023. I tried calling him off of my phone at 8:55am March 23, 2023 and to which there was no answer. Havent had any contact with **** since June 27th 2022.

    On March 9th, 2023 at approximately 4:35pm, I placed a $2079.00 deposit for a 5.9 Cummins long block engine over the phone. Through verbal agreement, I would place the deposit and then pay the reminder at time of pick up. I arrived to pick up the engine at **********************************************************************. Upon inspecting the engine that was set outside in the elements, I discovered the engine was not as described over the phone. He also sent pictures of a red long block that was supposed to be the one I placed the deposit on. However, that is not the engine that was at the location at the time of pick up. The engine pictured was clean, there was no paint drips, no left over gaskets. The engine was stated to have all new internal parts. The new parts were stated to be ***** Pistons, Clevelite Bearings, New camshaft, Lithium Grease, 3 Angle Seat Job, New valves, new rockers. However, that is not the case. The camshaft was pitted and when questioned about it in person **************** (owner of SLS Diesel and Performance) stated that it was not a new camshaft that it had been resurfaced. When asked about the ******************, **************** state oh these are not ***** piston, he changed suppliers due to supply issues. There was leftover valve cover gasket on the top of the engine that was painted over. When questioned if the engine had gone through a dip tank, he stated no, that it went through a wash rack 2-3 times. The injector holes had rust inside them. The heater core on the side of the block was painted over. With all of the problems I noticed with the engine, I declined to take the engine that day and asked **************** for a refund of the $2079.00 He stated that all I needed to do was call the card company, and ask them to do a chargeback on the transaction. However, that is not something that can be done by the buyer, it has to be done by the merchant. I sent him a message on 3/20/2023 and he will no longer respond.
