    Unfortunately, my HVAC system died this summer (6/30/23) after 27 years and I needed to get it replaced. Because I have an engineering background, I did considerable research on the brands, installation companies and energy usage of different units. I ultimately selected Southwest Heating & Cooling and I am so glad I did. I was thoroughly impressed with their entire team, from the Owner to the technicians that installed the unit. ************, the owner, came out and reviewed the system and gave us a quote. The Office Manager, ************, was so personable and professional and has excellent communication skills. She kept me in the loop by both phone calls and e-mails on what was going to be happening, helped find rebates for me, etc. The technicians, ******* and *******, were AMAZING! They were both so professional and really took the time to do the job right, explain things to me, like how to make my unit last longer, etc. ******* was so nice and even made aesthetic changes for me upon request, even though it took him a little bit longer and cost him a little bit more. He didn't complain once or say no. Truly a craftsman. All this being said, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for any HVAC Service. They go above and beyond and these days, that's saying a lot.

    I called them for a repair of a ********** split A/C unit. They sent an affable technician who diagnosed the problem as a faulty remote controller and showed me how to use the unit manually, while indicating that the unit was functionally fine other than the controller. He would check with a ********** representative about getting a new remote controller and get back to me. I was charged $129 for the service call. First, the unit did not cool, so either he was incorrect about its function or it will not cool without the controller (fan did work). Second, there was no follow-up. I called three times and asked for the technician to give me some type of status report. None came. My advice is to avoid this vendor, and certainly to withhold any payment from them until the job is complete.
