    I hired See the Light Window to create 2 openings and install windows. They did the window work July 29-August 2nd. The cost was $11,508. They installed the windows and as we did the final walk through, I noticed significant bubbling in the vinyl in many places of one of the windows. I was told that it was a manufacturer defect and they would order a new window and install it at a later date. The install date has not been set as of today, August 23rd. I told them that my drywall, stucco, and paint repair person was coming and that I needed to seal up the exterior walls so that pests and rain did not get in, but that I expect them to reimburse me to have that contractor return in months when the new window arrived and the defective window is removed, which would cause additional damage and needing drywall, stucco and paint repair. Given the weather, mice, wasps, and other pests, the house could not sit with open or temporary exterior walls and I cant expect my painter/drywall/stucco person to return to do the work for free when he was scheduled to paint the house and do all work as planned. See The Light Window does not stand by their work or their manufacturer. They installed a defective window with bubbling,didn't notice it until I pointed it out upon project completion, and now will not cover the cost of additional drywall, stucco, and paint repair due to the need to re-install a new window when the manufacturer delivers a new window. I spoke with ***** ******* today, August 23, 2024 and he told me that he would rather litigate and pay their lawyers than make things right for me, their customer. I was told "mistakes happen" and it's "normal" for the customer to bear the brunt of their company's and window manufacturer's mistake. I'm filing with the BBB so other customers are aware of the poor quality and their attitude towards mistakes. I would like to be reimbursed for my out of pocket costs to having my drywall/stucco/painter return to do the re-work.

    I am the director of operations at Skylight Specialists and I took over this customer's concerns. We were able to complete Ms. ********** work to her satisfaction. We offered a customer service discount for her trouble and finished the work. I was able to have a very reasonable discussion with Ms. ******** and meet her needs. She has paid the agreed upon final payment in a timely way.
