      Statewide approached us after the storm in May of 2023 about home repair for the damage- They had inspected our roof and replaced the roof- the workers did a fine job. The company itself as far as communication, following up, and closing processes has been awful. If you try to call any number listed on their website you receive a busy or no service signal- or you are directed to voicemail. Statewide claims they cover several states- none of which their extensions seem to work. We promptly paid Statewide their money down, and had to DEMAND a final invoice which took months to receive to close the claim with our insurance company, and to get the final payment to Statewide. After all that was completed- IN OCTOBER of 2023- we find out there is a Mechanics Lien waiver on our home still- I finally got a woman who signed off on the waiver stating it was complete. FAST FORWARD to April of 2024- almost a year last- and we find out while trying to sell our home the lien is still on our home. Luckily there has been a contact at the office trying her best to assist. we're now going on 3 weeks of trying to get this lien waiver lifted through the Iowa Secretary of State. This has cost a ton of time, and resources, and will involve legal action if not resolved timely.

      Statewide Roofing and Construction LLC has been working with this homeowner very diligently to get to the bottom of the true issues. 
      As we are looking into bettering the communication on our end, with the support from the State of Iowa and there perticular protocols in legal requirements to also provide more education and stream line access to the lien process as a whole. All the parties involved where very pleasant. We all pulled together to handle this situation in the best possible manner. We will continue to work on our business strategies and practices to ensure we are consistent in delivering our clients the best possible results.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. I hope through this experience, the business does l revamp their policy, process, and procedures. The work performed by Statewide was quick and satisfactory.

      In the end, it still took nearly a year to get a lien waiver off our home. My bank ended up closing the waiver as to not hold up the sale of 2 homes any longer. I still find it rather peculiar that many of the phone numbers listed and provided for Statewide via their website, and main line extension numbers are either busy, disconnected, or go straight to voicemail. I am still disappointed in the lack of communication from the owner/operator of this organization.

      I will however give a special than you to Becca at Statewide, because of her due diligence and being extremely helpful to me, I am thankful.

      Again, I hope this entire situation gets figured out for the customers that still have lien waivers against their homes.
