I ordered a Internet Hotspot from ********************. The hotspot doesn't perform the way their website describes and the way one would expect if one is in the coverage area. Here is their description:*************************************** Will it be fast?It depends!4G Speeds: In practice, 4G is rarely above 40mbps, but it can vary widely by location, time of day, and local congestion. The maximum speed a member has reported with a 4G device (and a MIMO antenna) is 100mbps. It is not uncommon to get ********* speed is 1 to 2mbps which is *********************************** is their provider and they did not even respond to my request for help back on Feb. 8th. All I want is a refund since their product doesn't work. If Mobilecitizen can make it work reliably then I'd be fine, but they don't even bother to respond.

About two months ago, I purchased a wifi hotspot from ***************, who states that the device and its corresponding plan (through Mobile Citizen) are not subject to throttling. I get the device and throttling is present. This is strike one. This shows false advertising on the part of Calyx and/or **************************, some month or so into usage, the device starts to shut off randomly, making it impossible to use it for its stated purpose. As such, I reached out to Calyx, who told me to reach out to Mobile Citizen, who told me to reach out to T-Mobile. I have read about this run-around online and how people eventually become tired of trying and give up. I am not going to give up considering I have been ripped off so badly here.Based on the above, I believe that a replacement device should be sent to me. I should not have to spend ten hours on the phone to obtain a replacement either. I have other things to do. I am ******* closing, I believe that Calyx/Mobile Citizen/T-Mobile are clearly selling something they know doesn't work correctly. This is an ******** -- In the event that a refund of full cost is easier than a replacement, I could go for that too. Ideally, I shouldn't continue doing business with such horrible companies.
