    The thorough, knowledgeable and kind process with **************** for my ex-wife and I's divorce is something I am truly grateful for. We had to split various self-employment finances, manage child custody questions, ongoing and long-term child expense planning, all the court paperwork to clarify assets and liabilities, investments and credit cards, and plan for one of us moving out. I didn't know what to expect (although **************** was recommended to us by another recent divorced friend) and having his awareness of all the court required deadlines and paperwork was crucial to making things less stressful. I'd recommend him to anyone wanting in good faith to work through a divorce settlement without the more combative structure of attorneys. He can clearly identify what needs to be discussed and where the court will require more detail, and what happens if one person doesn't stick with the agreed terms of the divorce, and his style is calm and informed and helpful.

    ***** with Affirm Mediation mediated myself and my ex-wife through our divorce process. In general, I think he left many open ended and very questionable provisions in our agreement. Having them reviewed by a lawyer after the fact showed a tremendous amount of financial and legal exposure for me. Additionally, ***** appeared partial based on information he gave me that he later recanted during another mediation session. Having consulted with an attorney again, the attorney was quite surprised by the contradictions. Basically, he didn't feel my ex-spouse needed to abide by the agreement that he helped form. Overall, I would not recommend.

    I'm sorry that you feel that way *********** objective is always to be neutral and impartial in the mediation process. I have had the honor of assisting thousands of mediation participants in reaching mutually agreeable emotional and economic resolutions. All agreements reached in mediation are reviewed in detail with the participants then documents are drafted per the agreements reached by both participants in the mediation process. Personal attorneys are bound by law to represent their clients interests specifically. Mediators to not write advocacy documents in favor of either of the mediation participants. I advise mediation participants to review their mediation agreements prior to signing with their personal attorney and/or tax account. In the interest of confidentially for both mediation participants I cannot write further on the complaint.
