      Based on the recommendation of my sons therapist I took my son to Lighthouse Institute Neurobehavior Health for neurofeed back therapy. My son had 1 assessment session on 9/22/2022 and 10 neurofeed back sessions starting on 9/29/2022 and ending on 10/30/2022. Once we had started the therapy I was told they had made the decision to no longer accept insurance, even though they were in network with my insurance company. I proceeded to bring my son to his twice a week appointments with the understanding that I would be provided an insurance claim form weekly to submit to insurance for reimbursement. It took several weeks to get the claim forms apparently they were having issues with their computer systems. Once I received them I immediately recognized that they had not been properly filled out, they did not fill in my address correctly, they used my phone number as the insurer's id number. I had many emails back and forth with their billing department to get this corrected. Once I thought everything was accurate I submitted all the claim forms to my insurance company. The first submission was by mail in October, then I did 2 more times in November because the insurance company seemed to be having issues. Today, January 6, 2023 I called the insurance company to follow up on my claim and was told they had cancelled the claims because the diagnostic codes provided were not correct. I was also told that I have 6 months from date of service to have claims submitted and accepted or they will not be reimbursed. I called the Lighthouse office right away to tell them the issue and let them know I need corrected claim forms again. I was sent a detailed invoice that did not provide me the information I need to submit to insurance. I have sent them another email with an example of what I need. I should not have to be out the money I paid them because their billing staff does not know how to do their job.
