In December of 2023 I dropped my vehicle off for body work to the driver side front fender and bumper. JDs collision replaced my front bumper cover and repaired the dent in the fender. My vehicle was ready about the 12th of December. I picked up my vehicle and a couple days later I noticed the alignment was off. It was a pulling a little so I took it into ****** to have them check the alignment and it needed to be realigned. After JDs said it was done. I was told by **** they would contact the insurance company since JDs was already paid by insurance and get me reimbursed. She did not do that nor did she offer a resolution. On Dec. 26th I noticed the passenger side of my front bumper was popped out of place. I contacted the body shop and they fixed it. Then a couple months later the driver side shifted. They did fix the issue by replacing the brackets on the bumper. When I picked it up I was rudely told that if it pops out again I will need to take it to ****** that the recall would fix my issue and there is nothing more they can do. Its now popped out again in the same spot. I took it to ****** and they confirmed the bumper cover is defective. The clips mounted to the bumper are deformed. JDs Collision is now declining any coverage/warranty on work/parts replaced by them. They said they offer warranty but not on parts. I was told when I picked up my car the first time I would have a lifetime warranty on the work they did. Id assume a bumper that keeps popping out that was replaced by JDs would be warrantable. They tried to fix it the first time but all they did was push the issue from the passenger side to the driver side. Its worse now. The work is not right and JDs will not honor the warranty they offer. There was a recall on the bumper. It was for the small black cover at the very bottom. My issue is at the top where it wont stay in place. Im being treat poorly instead of them replacing the defective bumper.

We have addressed the concerns on several occasions. The parts in question have all been replaced once and some twice. We do offer a lifetime warranty on our repairs however parts warranties must come from the Manufacturer. The customer feels the bumper may be defective. We have forwarded their concerns to ****** to see if they will offer any type of warranty. As they will be responsible for the parts and labor.

The customer felt the alignment was off but did not mention it until after taking it to ****** and then was seeking reimbursement. As we looked into the issue we do have proof the vehicle was aligned and in spec when it was picked up by the customer after original *********************** were completed.

We have advised the customer to also reach out to their insurance about the bumper issues to see what/if they will warranty anything with the bumper if ****** will not. We will also follow up with ****** in regards to the complaint in 14 days.

I am rejecting this response because: When I brought my vehicle in the first time for the bumper to be realigned I let the body shop know that the alignment was off. They advised me to take it to ****** or Firstone where it was originally completed. I did that. ****** said that **** would call me and let me know about getting reimbursed. ****** said **** had to call the insurance first.  I called three times after that conversation and was told **** would call me back and she never did. The bumper on my car has been an issue since the beginning and instead of fixing it correctly Ive been thrown through hoops and told this should fix it and the repairs attempted has never fixed my bumper right. I think the right thing to do as a business would be to replace my bumper knowing its been an issues since the 14th days after repairs were completed, and make it right.  There has only been two attempts to fix my bumper. First it was the passenger side and then it was the driver side and now its the driver side popping out again. I feel like JDs knows what the issue is and is looking for a way to avoid making repairs because it is going to be replacing that bumper cover again. ****** inspected my vehicle which is what JDs collision recommenced, and ****** verified the bumper cover does need to be replaced. That the correct repair is a body shop issue. Anything that the body shop said they would do they have not followed through with. I was told this repair would have life time warranty. No where was it said that this body shop has limited warranty with what they choose to warranty. With this repair not being correct the first time. It should have been inspected further to find the actual issue and fixed correctly so I wouldnt have to continue having the same repetitive issue. I have taken the steps JDs has suggested and everything is pointing back to the body shop needing to replace the bumper cover. But the body shop wants to blame everyone else and not honor their warranty. No resolution has been made at this time and the only answers Ive received from JDs is that there is nothing we can do when in fact there is. And that is to fix it right.

****** is investigating whether they will warranty the bumper customer states is defective. Shop will replace the part if ****** warranties the bumper.

This particular customer has come to us asking us to fix multiple things unrelated to her vehicle repairs. WE have done so in attempts to resolve and issue. However every few weeks she comes up with something else. If ****** honors there warranty for the "defective" bumper we will replace it for the customer.
