    First of all, he forgot about the consult and he was 20 minutes late after I messaged him and he said he had forgot about it.Then when we scheduled him, he contacted me less than 10 minutes before he was supposed to be there that he had an emergency water heater to ***** husband had taken time off from work that day so he wasted time off. He said he would come back the next week but didn't say day or time. Didn't hear from him the next week and he decided to show up on Friday after I had already gone to work. We decided to give him a chance because of the good Yelp reviews which was not a good decision. He left spacing between planks, planks were chipped, and cuts were crooked. He also didn't add filler to where there was a dip in the floor and claims you don't have to if there 1/8 inch or less difference but there was much more than that as we could feel the dip when walking over with the flooring in place. He missed silicone in several spots around the edges too. My husband ended up pulling up the planks to fix the gaps and replace the chipped pieces. To make matters worse, he spilled paint all over our sidewalk outside and didn't say a word and left cigarette butts in our driveway.

    *****/Jasmine called me and asked if i could do flooring for her. I told her I could but only if it was *** flooring not sheet flooring. She agreed and purchased the product. 

    First, I did not forget about the consult, (I charge 75 dollars for a consult and decide to waive the fee for them) I was taking care of another client and could not just leave to go meet Jasmine. Yes, I probably should have called. When I showed up, her husband was working on a vehicle. When the date came to do the flooring, I had a client call me as I was on the way to *************** home and ask if if could help with their water that had just exploded and water was everywhere. The client is 72 years old and I take care of her as a promise I made to her husband prior to him passing. I did reschedule for the following week on Friday and she agreed that would be fine. When I showed up, her husband working on a vehicle again and told me that they had hired someone else and that they did not need my services. I left and had another customer I could go help. I had returned to ******** and I received a call from Jasmine, she said it was a big mistake and asked if I could go back and do the job. I told my other customer I would return  another and went back to ******************* again. I proceeded to prep the floor as they had chose to remove the sheet flooring and base trim. They had remove the closet flooring and that was not part of the estimate for $500. The closet would have been another $150. There was a area with a dip from water swelling the partical boarding sub floor. Mold was was far more than anticipated and I had to use a mold blocker to coat the sub floor. I sanded the swelled sub floor to the accepted 1/8" and coated to area with Kills mold blocker in the closet as well. I installed the *** and sealed up the perimeter with white silicone. There were no gaps, nor cracks, no chips/broken flooring, the silicone was complete and Jasmine was happy with job and wrote a check for the $500. I chose not to charge the extra $150 for the closet as it seemed like they were on a very tight budget and I figured it would help them. I did spill some paint and told her husband about it and he said it was no big deal. Jasmine sent me a picture of one plank that had a very small gap ask asked if I could come fix it. I said yes that is no problem. Before I could schedule a day to return, Jasmine sent me another picture of the entire flooring removed. It would have been a very easy fix if they did not remove the entire flooring. I spoke with an attorney and he stated, once they removed my work, I was not obligated to do the job again for free. Once they removed my work, it is now their problem. I don't smoke so I have no idea what they are talking about me leaving cigarette butts on their property. They are nothing more than liars and if they were not happy with the job, why did Jasmine pay me? 

    No refund deserved. I'm out the travel time and the $150 for the closet, So much for being a nice guy trying to help.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    *****, or ***** (he spelled his name both ways) is being entirely untruthful. He absolutely did not tell ******** about spilling the paint because ******** had asked Jasmine where the spilled paint came from. 
    ******** was not working on his vehicle as ***** stated; he specifically took the entire day off of work so he could be there when ***** came over. ***** didnt show up that day and let us know the morning he was supposed to be there he took on another job. ******** couldnt take another day off, and ***** unexpectedly came over with no notice a week after he was originally scheduled to. Jasmine paid *****, but once ******** got home he noticed the shoddy workmanship. If ***** would have come over when he was SCHEDULED to, ******** would have not paid him until he made it right.

    None of this would have happened if ***** would have been there when originally promised. There is no excuse for him to bail at the last minute. He was committed to this job, not someone else with an emergency. Terrible business practice.

    One more thing - his business had the Yelp guarantee when Jasmine contacted him. Sometime after that, he removed that guarantee.
