Where to begin: If you live in *****, ******** you do NOT and I repeat do not want to buy a Bridgewater home. These folks are operating fully out of ******** (every part of the operation including customer service) and after youve purchased the home its pretty much youre on your own. They do a shoddy job (youll see after a few months pass and things start falling apart) and they are NOWHERE to be found to help. And Im not talking little things, Im talking :- Our roof was never installed adequately to withstand weather conditions, so the past few months every time its stormed, shingles blow off our roof. This has caused major leaking, which in turn has caused Sheetrock to fall from our ceiling as well as visible black mold growing from our ceiling, window panes leaking etc. We notified Bridgewater about this issue EIGHT weeks ago and they have done nothing to address it. We keep getting the were having trouble getting a hold of the roofer BS. And ultimately had to finally go through insurance to go after them.- Now on top of everything else, our one year old sump pump is failing. Of course we noticed this over the weekend, and the emergency plumber contact Bridgewater gave us is no longer in service. - The night before settlement and moving into the house, we decided to stop by and make sure everything looked right after inspection and noticed they hadnt even starting to paint. And they wouldnt have at all had we not gotten our realtor involved. So, last minute they hired some shoddy paint company and they failed to mix the paint before starting the job/ it came out totally wrong. This is the level of professionalism you can expect from Bridgewater. Its an honest joke & the only reason were taking the time to submit this review is we genuinely hope we can save someone else from making this mistake.

Buyer beware. If you are looking for a semi-custom "luxury home," don't contract with Bridgewater Homes. We have numerous construction defects and are now working with an attorney. Bridgewater claims no fault and is blaming us and/or the developer. They take zero responsibility for the subpar work done by their contractors. If you want a company that will hold their contractors responsible for quality and be your advocate, this is not the builder for you. There's what we can see...and that leaves us wondering what else is wrong that we can't see. Run the other way! We have purchased 2 other new builds by larger "tract" home builders, and we expected better from a semi-custom home builder. But we are left with tens of thousands of dollars of repairs needed. It's already been over a year since major issues started surfacing. And we're stuck in a legal battle. We wouldn't be able to sell our house if we wanted to because our issues are with the foundation. Sadly, our home looks like it's been in an earthquake. Think twice about buying from them.

So first off I am a veteran and got approved all the way through underwriting and got my no s*** final amount that I was qualified for. Once I got that number I was very stoked to know that i was going to be buying my first and final home very close to my dream home for my wife and three kids. Also knowing that the hard work that i had been doing the past 6 months with paying all of my debt off was finally going to pay off and that i was going to get the house i wanted I went and did my homework with all of the builders in ******************** community and decided that I wanted to go with bridgewater I went and talked to the salesperson there who was very nice and helpful with everything knowing that I had been there 4-5 times my bad review is not with the salesperson but with the corporate side of bridge water I finally decided to pull the trigger and put a offer in on THE house that i wanted The day of the offer i took in my whole family wife 3 kids mom dad and stepparents and my relator happy that i was going to finally get in my own house We spent over 4 hours picking the final plot that we wanted to put the house on and which model we wanted our offer wasn't anything drastic at all we asked for 1% off the base price of the house Now this is where it gets bad and couldn't believe that they would do this to anyone let alone a veteran knowing that the loan was 100% covered by a bank the relator calls me the next day to let me know that the corporate side of the company wasnt going to budge one inch with the base price of the house or any amount of the ******* money stating that they know for a fact that the product is better then any of the competitors in ******************** area So long story short if you think that you have a chance getting into one of their houses but the budget is very tight just know that bridge water wont move one inch on any part So any potential upgrades you want you wont be able to get THINK MORE THEN ONCE BEFORE GOING WITH BRIDGE WATER

When we first walked into our home in Aug 2022 we were impressed with how nice everything looked. We appreciated that there were two people with us in the walkthrough, one was there to start immediately addressing small issues. The walkthrough manager was courteous and responsive. Living in the house we discovered many issues. The hot water was hooked up to the toilet. Hot and cold were also reversed in our shower. These were fixed right away as were some electrical issues. We were not impressed with some workmanship. Half of the nails meant to connect the outer board of the house to the studs missed their mark and are fully exposed next to the studs (not in them) in the garage. We wondered if the whole house behind finished walls was like this. Semi custom might means semi skilled labor to build these homes. Our kitchen was not installed level, the drawers stay shut but too easily open because they are tilted down. The major problem is in the main living area. We paid a lot of extra money to expand the living dinning area size by two feet. It didn't get the support it needed. Sitting in a chair in the main room, or at the dining table, you can feel each and every step taken. The flex in the floor was unacceptable. The manager agreed after experiencing it. They tried to raise the end beam but it did not solve the problem. The they had their engineer come in. After his assessment, the report stated that the 3/4 inch flex in the floor is within specs. Imagine that! Therefore, they would not do anything to address it. It will cost $4-5K to put in a new beam. It was around this time that the two managers helping residents with issues quit. No one has been in touch with us to finish remaining issues. I will ever build a semi-custom home again.
