Communication is terrible. Did not do what the original sales person said. Also in hind sight, very expensive which would be tolerable if service was good. They were supposed to pull corner and gate posts, then cutoff and re-dig remaining posts Did not pull posts back corner they nailed 2x4 rails together, moved front fence back 6 inches closer to shed to not pull post, did not pull gate post and new holes hit sprinker lines and had to be repaired at our cost, they wouldn't cover it even though they didn't follow what they said they would do. Original sales person was no longer with company, assumed owner was rude giving me new project manager name. New project manager very rude to my wife. Complained about having to bring more materials when they are the ones that calculated and ordered materials. I would not recommend and will not use them again. Also new gate warped within 24 hours of install

****** came in and took our ideas of our deck project and ran with it. He explained the process and broke everything down in detail of what to expect (much appreciated). The crew that showed up was very professional and hard working. You can expect to have the work area cleaned up every day at the end of their work day (very nice) and not have any trip hazards or annoying material laying around. **** (deck *******) was very detailed and even asked us how we wanted certain finishes. That little detail made us very happy overall because now we got exactly what we wanted! Our covered deck is beautiful and has been built with amazing craftsmanship. I would highly recommend hiring them for your future deck project if you are looking for a solid deck with beautiful detail! Thanks Rocky Mountain Fence for the beautiful deck you built us!!

Our experience with Rocky Mountain Fence and Decks has been absolutely wonderful. ***** came to our home quickly and listened to our wishes. He throughly reviewed the sections of our front yard we wanted privacy fencing put on; as well as ranch-style fencing, which we wanted for the front section. He thoroughly communicated to ** about important things like sprinkler heads and sprinkler systems and got exact measurements, etc. We signed the contract which is clear and transparent. Fence and ************ who have clear terms and have been in business for decades here in Northern ********: love that and we're very grateful. The fence crew was very nice and expert at what they do. But even better: they cared a lot about their work and it shows. We have the most beautiful fencing in our entire subdivision! Every step of the way we were taken care of. We will definitely hire them for another fence, this one in the backyard, once we clear away some dead trees. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Fence and Decks.

This company is inexperienced and passed the cost of their lack of knowledge on to me. Last fall I had a short section of 6 foot fence and two side gates that I needed to replace. The company estimator came physically to my house and told me that zoning in this area would not allow me to replace the existing 6 foot fence with another 6 foot fence. They could only put in a four foot fence for safety reasons. I question him extensively as I am surrounded by 6 foot fences in my neighborhood. After the fence was installed I found out he was wrong. He was quoting city zoning and I am in the county. The company was unwilling to fix or even share in the mistake. I had to pay them to remove the 4 foot fence and replace with a 6 foot fence in order to have the fence match the gates. They were totally unwilling to accept any responsibility for their error. It cost me over five hundred dollars more than if the 6 foot fence would have been installed in the first place. They even wanted to charge me $95 to haul off the 4 foot sections. I did not report this at the time or write negative reviews on line. This spring I turned on my sprinkler system. They severed sprinkler lines on both sides of the house. Again they are unwilling to accept any responsibility for the damaged lines. I now will have to pay a irrigation company to repair both lines. The sprinkler system is obvious where the fence was installed. They say they have no responsibility to avoid lines it just happens. The entire experience has been expensive and unsatisfying. The company's unwillingness to accept any responsibility at all for their lack of knowledge, skills and abilities has cost me a lot more money than if I had gone with another company. Their customer service is pathetic.

We value our customers' satisfaction and aim to provide exceptional service, which is why I believe it's important to shed light on the situation from our perspective.
Last year, after you contacted us requesting a fence estimate, our estimator visited your residence. We then planned out the project based on the city of Ft. Collins fence code concerning fence height of 6' protruding past the front of the house. We then recommended installing a 4' fence. You took some time to review, and a few weeks later contacted us and agreed to the estimate and signed a contract with a deposit. You did not tell us that your residence is considered to be a county residence.
We built the fence and you paid the balance due.
Several weeks later we received a phone call concerning the height of the fence after you discovered you live in the county. You agreed to pay us to install a 6' fence and demanded a refund for city tax. All the while threatening to contact the BBB, and ****. We gave you the 6’ fence materials and labor at cost.
We empathized with your situation and agreed to fulfill your request, going above and beyond by offering to build the 6-foot fence at cost, without any profit for our company. We simply charged you for the materials and labor involved. Furthermore, we promptly refunded the city sales tax amounting to $142, as per your request. You also requested that the 4-foot fence materials be left behind, which we did.
We only billed you $940 for the at cost labor and cost of materials. The overall expense of the new fence amounted to $1,680. We absorbed $740 of the cost. We also absorbed another $200 for materials and another $120 for labor, totaling $320. Considering the labor cost and the materials used, the overall expense amounted to $1,680. However, we only charged you $940, which essentially covered our labor costs and the cost of materials, allowing you to save a significant amount. We even refunded the city tax upon your request, which was $142.
To our surprise, you contacted us today, 6 months later, and demanded we fix your sprinkler issues. We deliberately explained our contract in the first two meetings regarding sprinkler lines, and the fact they cannot be located. You signed the contract that states: “Rocky Mountain Fence, Inc. is not responsible for underground sprinkler systems, drains or other secondary utilities. The customer assumes full financial and legal responsibility for property pins, boundaries, easements, right of ways, and subdivision covenants.”
You hung up on my estimator, and called me and I reminded you, as stated in the contract, we are not responsible for sprinkler lines.
Throughout this process, we have remained responsive to your emails, text messages, and phone calls because we genuinely care about your satisfaction. We have diligently made efforts to accommodate your requests and find amicable solutions to any concerns that have arisen.
I’ve been in business for over 30 years here in Northern Colorado. We take it very seriously to take good care of our customers. You’ve been very unreasonable, argumentative and defensive. I would like to warn other service providers about you. I demand that you take your review down and withdraw your complaint because we have more than helped you even when we didn’t have to. We believe our actions have more than demonstrated our commitment to your satisfaction.
